  1. How about providing the Bumbers the same respect as we, the MFC, wanted with the tanking issue! I love the bias, love your club and forget the rest attitude. But some perspecetive may be in order here, surely
  2. My first thought on this issue was 'Where is the journalist troll (Caro)' surely she is not still on holidays!!! I wonder if Fan (bagdad what ever his name is) and others are still re-joicing her expertise? Maybe Barrett will be the new messiah now he found the story
  3. Many opposition supporters have re-joiced in the Tanking issue. I dont see any use of Demon supporters behaving in a similar way towards the Bombers. I hate the Bumbers, but I'll give them the right to reply to these allegations.
  4. Or face the cold hard facts and that is the law WJ. Some people will only learn when they face these cold hard facts. I think many have tried to support LJ, but he does not seem to respond to this type of support. Liam may live ina world in which he makes the law. But he also lives in a world where govt makes laws too. I dont want him to go to jail, but if he cant respect the laws and turn up to court, then he only has himself to blame and I'm sure many tried to support him to get there too
  5. Your head aches and others biggestred. I forgot to add the politicians role as well.
  6. A guy who is 196cms, but only weighs 80kgs would be fearful of guys bigger than himself. Particulary playing in a KP and against the 1st or 2nd best KP player. But Watts is now 94kgs playing on a wing/HBF. He may not be a Jack Viney (a natural with contested situations), but he will learn this side of his game. FFS, the guy was a year behind his draft year due to school commitments, and was forced to play a KPF role with Jurrah as his mate. This was never a way of winning a football game. He was always going to be bullied in this role. He has played half a season in the HBF role and some ride him off already. Give him the chance to prove himself before you judge him as a wingman/HBF er. Davey in his prime was never a Bull at the contest, but used his pace as a tool to be defensive. Watts may find his way yet, out of a KP player role.
  7. Its seems to me that Liam is a law to his own culture only. He maybe an Elder and revered in his community and I respect that! but the reality is that there is a law that holds more weight than his own. Its called Aust law. I'm sad that he is not following the over riding laws in Aust and has ruined any chance for other footballers in his community to make a pathway to the AFL. I dont see this as good leadership in ANY law. Aust history and publicans have alot to answer to. Liam is an example of this
  8. Arrogance at its finest. If i was to translate this it would say "I know more about football than you" Unfortunatley BH, Your posts are speculative like all others. If you were as good as you say/think, the club would make you a paid employee. Not gonna happen!
  9. I'm not sure in this case who it was is very important. I value players more than others when it comes to football, but, this may have been a life and death situaion. I'm very happy Terlich will be discharged from hospital (as reported on SEN) tonight and his family are not grieving a potentially life changing situation. I'm also glad his football dream is still alive.
  10. I've been to Asia and seen the 'Cold Hard Reality' of drug use in the remote communities. Imagine your Grandma smoking an opium pipe so off her face that she cant stand up or say a word. Very sad indeed considering the grand children get to see the same cold hard reality. In these same communities drug use is more accepted than what the AFL policy dictates Not sure of your point Biff? Drugs transend boarders, lifestyles and communities.
  11. My Bad. But still, lets re-sign him as he is very imporant to our list. Lets not let another contract dispute get in the way of the development of our list He is a must IMO
  12. Chip Frawley is a RFA this year. The most important issue for the club would be to sure up his signature. It will cost the club, but it needs to happen before a Hawthorn or Saints (rumoured to be interested) Jump in. IMO Chip deserves more than Dawes, and a longer contract. No point signing him for 2 years for UFA!!
  13. A Lesbian is far less likely to be infected by HIV/AIDS than a straight man. Research the stats Why are we talking about HIV/AIDS?
  14. Gay man says and asks Barn Dee "My round is next, Barn, would like a beer" BarnDee says "thanx mate" Gay man walks off to the bar BarnDee turns around to his straight mate as says "did you see that? He just hit on me" Straight man looks down at BarnDee and replies "Is that a gun in your pocket?"
  15. I'll be in Bali. I look forward to the reports when I get back tho!
  16. Well written IMO. It shows a very good level of logic, intelligence and bias that makes this game what it should be. What is tanking? Most ppl know it when they see it. Carltank, Collingwood, West Coast, (currently) Bulldogs and the MFC can be accussed of tanking. Other clubs too. Why win a game of football when the prize is first (or better) options to pick up a player in the youth leagues the club wants. This is a very logical view on how to best position your club. Its very logical from what ever position you sit! Intellectually you may view this as 'wrong', but your bias says do it for what all see as the ultimate prize, a premiership. Your bias goes as far to attack other clubs for what your own club did. Some may disagree that this was the best way to position the club for a premiership. You may be right, who knows! the club has not won a premiership in decades, so I believe no-one knows. If they did the club would have been more successful. When I say this is what makes this game what it should be, I mean, this is what many on this site shoulb be rather than a self serving point of view that only looks at one point of view. I'm tired of some posters self serving themselves to prove a point. I also hate that this site represents the stereo type of the club. Posters using spelling, grammer or literacy skills to attack others, or some beleiving they have the intellectual property in a game that lives mostly on subjectivity (as supporters/members). Those ppl are elitists. The club stereo type. Unfortunatley stereo types are there for everyone to see but in this case the vocal speak for the club too often. How good is Barry? How good is Dawes? Did we tank? Did other clubs Tank? Is CW good or bad? Some posters need to get in their 4WD and f**k off to the ski and let the majority view our club in this game with bias and passion, right or wrong!!
  17. Watts was recruited 1 year prior to Scully and Trengove. Watts is only 6 months older and he was completing year 12 in his first year therefore he only completed a portion of the training in 2008. I see Watts recruitment a bit like Hogan this year. The club knew Watts would be a year behind his drafting year, dispite the club marketing him in 2009 with fluff games to boost attendance thus income.
  18. I will always remember Jack Watts kicking that precision pass to Jack Trengove over Scully's head against GWS at the G. It was a small crowd but very vocal!
  19. And smoked a few too (unsubstantiated)
  20. Watts and Nic Nat were the two outstanding picks of their year. Both were seen as athletes who had a lot of football to learn. The club needed a CHF before it needed a ruckman and went with Watts. Watts kicked winning goals after the siren in the under 18 champs, therefore was seen as a player who stood up in a game when needed. I beleive that playing well in finals or in Under 18 champs is seen as a bonus by most clubs these days, including the new drafting policy at the MFC. Nic Nat is by far the superior player thus far, but Watts has had litlle support as a CHF, while Nic Nat has a great in Cox to coax him thru and support his development. Currently the rumour is that Nic Nat has an injury that he will not overcome. The player he was in the first half of 2012 will never be again. Fan hit the nail on the head and Watts has been grossly mismanaged by the club and he has suffered as a result. Another fact is that has been ignored is Watts played a lot in the midfield at the Dragons. He was NEVER a pure out and out CHF. I still see Watts as a FWD next to Dawes, Clark, Pedo and Hogan. Watts is a very talented midfielder come forward. I hate the idea of most on here believing that a good set of guns results in strength in the air or on the ground. The fact is that size and strength can be mean two seperate things!! Another fact is that Watts is being groomed differently under Neeld. Neeld is playing him as defender/midfielder. A role he played at the Dragons. If I had the choice to have Watts on another list today, I would say NO. He has talent and its up to the club to develop it. But if a player was thrown into the mix that was tempting, as has already been said, Watts in not indispensable. Another area that isnt discussed too much on here is, the club could not develop players at the same rate of stronger clubs due to the FD structure. The MFC were amatuer, and are yet to prove otherwise!! I like that Denham sticks the boots in. Its now up to the club to rise above the media and show the world that we are ELITE on and off the ground. Time the club walked the talk. I would love to see Watts be the one that shuts up Denham and many others on here
  21. Barry should get games due to the list not having enough speedsters in the midfield/backline/forwardline. Daveys is not a hard nosed player and when he tackled he usually ended up piggy backing the opposition. But he created pressure (perceived and actual) which was usefel to the team in years past. Barry could provide similar benefit, But he is young and may take a year or two to develop his role. I hope that Barry does not become a whipping boy from all the hype posters are giving him. Remember he is a project player. He is not Viney
  22. I would be happy with a season like the Tiges in 2012. Some very goog wins with some very competative games against the top teams. I'd be happy to dominate large portions of games against the Hawks, Pies, Meth Coast, Cats etc etc. Honerable losses to the elite means we are exprience and confidence away from winning games against them in the VERY near future. \We need to win 75% of games against last years bottom 6 team too
  23. Maybe next time call the club. The AFL/MFC website has been inconsistent since its inception.
  24. Reading your posts OD, I fear you have a reason for wanting instant success as Its like you have a diagnosis of dementia. Its either this or you will be in an old ppls home in 2018 and you fear the whiskey will not be on offer and a valium will be administered to curb your over the top behaviour come a Demon premiership. If I was you, I'd ask family to bring you home for a week (from your aged hostel) and tell them you to feed you your drug of choice for a week. You may forget the win due to your old aged, but you will remember the premiersip for 5 minutes. Better than nothing really
