That's a question of WYL proportions? A lot of ppl disagree with you! The club negotiated a contract with Mitch, he became injured in the line of battle for the club, therefore the club is bound by a legal contract to pay him according to this contract. You also fail to recognise that he may make it back to the fold next year. Injury free Clark is our best, most influential player. The club is not giving up on him, why are you?
-
The point is ppl disagree with you.

Mitch's value was negotiated before he came to the club. He was contracted on big money for 4 years. I would hope that the contract has an injury clause in it. However, A contract is binding so is the law. On other issues related to Mitch. imagine how our already disenfranchised playing group would react if the club took a Neeld style hard line with Mitch on his injury issue. The player revolt will be seen with important players leaving the club. There is no ambiguity here. The club negotiated a contract with Mitch. He got injured, and the club needs to pay him accordingly. Hopefully he will get on the park and show his value once again.

Work Cover would disagree with you BB. You sustain an injury at work, the work place pays your income. It's called the law!!
-
WYL, stop paying money to the club and shut the hell up!!! I think lots of ppl would be happy with that, including the club.

Jamar has little trade value. Collingwood maybe, but others would overtake the Russian

Thanx Grimsey! I think that was an IPad spell check mistake!! But thanx for the pettiness. Did u not understand who I. Was talking about, but wait, u did. Now lets see if my mistakes above annoys you.

You only need to look at the GWS and GC. Gary Ablett has done wonders for O Meara and co. Fitzgerald won't get us an Ablett, but he will give us bargaining power for a very good midfielder who is an AFL standard player. Add in a fee agent and the possibility of getting a Cross for free too, The midfield is way better. This takes the pressure off Viney, Kent, Toumpas, Jones Grimes Trengove etc etc. This also takes the pressure off the recruiting team to recruit the likes of Pederson and Brynes. Fringe players who add little. It's easier to develop a midfield if there is competition for spots. ATM we barely have a midfield and they select themselves.

I'm not sure why ppl don't understand the theory behind trading Fitzy, or one of our KPF. We have a 3rd world midfield and excess tall forwards. For the right player (midfielder), Fitzy is expendable. It's simple math really. List balance I'd call it. On another point, over the past few decades our club has had list deficiencies. We once had a weak back line. We drafted to fix this problem then ended up with a weak forward line. We traded and drafted to fix this and now we have a weak midfield. It's time the club fixes the midfield problem without creating holes elsewhere.

I don't understand how Buckley has escaped the media. He has taken over a top 2 team, and turned them into a fringe top 8 team. All I hear in the media how savvy he is with reporters. He ain't Savvy as a coach and results are showing this

In the past Fitzy would shank a few kicks.

Next Three Rounds Crucial for Craig
Demonsterative replied to Coup Cooper's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'm starting warm to Craig. If he can take over and build the team up with a succession plan with a top assistant on his side, is maybe the way the club should go. -
Tippett, Mitch Clark, Mumford, Cox, Nic Nat, Mc Evoy, Vardy. I'm sure I could think of many more if I tried
-
If Trenners kicked that many each week, he'd go close to the Coleman.
-
Noisier posters. Yet you are one

It's universally accepted that Fitz's foot skills were not good when he arrived at th club. His kicking action was very awkward. He has improved this erea. Saty, the defend the club at all costs attitude is getting boring.

The AFL have thrown millions more to GWS than the MFC. The money the MFC had received is conditional. In other words, they will give us money if you spend it in a way the AFL wants us to. Why has this condition not occurred with The Suns and Giants? It seems to me the Suns have spent millions on senior players that have mentored their youth. GWS spent 6 million on Scully (add more for Fat Scully for recruitment). That's more than 100% than what what we are getting. As it has turned out GWS has wasted 4 million on Scully at best. That 4 million could have been spent on other clubs equallying up FD expenditure. IMO, the money we have received from the AFL is justified considering the waste GWS has spent on its senior players, Scully included. No matter how the Scully contract is justified, a third year player with 30 games experience should never have become in the top 5 best paid players on the league. It's an injustice to the AFL's elite players playing elsewhere

Your soft with your thoughts. You wanted instant gratification with Jimmi, didn't get it, therefore your crying like a baby!!!

What is the one thing that has kept you going?
Demonsterative replied to the fork's topic in Melbourne Demons
Casey, the draft, the idea the club and FD will get it right, and now its the AFL assisting us and over looking how we go forward. I think it will be, FINALLY, happier days ahead. -
Is the Fijian league a good league? Comparative to the NTFL.
-
Jack was labouring in the 3rd 1/4 yesterday. He kept going and never gave up but looked like he needs another week or two.
-
That translates to a 98 point win to us. Bring it on
-
I thought Strauss was good yesterday. He stood out amongst are very poor lot. Worth a look IMO. But if Craig does elavate him, he needs to told and given 5 games playing on a wing rotating in the back line. I'm not sure we were at the same game yesterday. It was blowing a gale and all kicks floated either with the wind or against it.

Disagree. I'm not one who hates Jordie. Just my opinion of what I saw today. In fact Casey had a strong midfield (on paper) today and they were thrashed out of the middle and all over the ground by Werribee. Jordie had little influence on the game. His is coming back from injury and I hope he proves me wrong.
