Jordan the sub. Brayshaw back to the wing and Bowey off the HFF or will they move Hunt forward? Either way I much prefer Brayshaw on the defensive wing

Is it going to be clear? When was the last time we played on a nice clear day and let our skills shine? (Pardon the pun)
The better side wins today, r points and move on. Let's start building towards a finals campaign. Gawn full time ruck, Trac and Clarry I'm the middle, Gus back tia wing, pork ribs on the smoker... Back to normal you know?

Me and my wife won an auction for my 2 sons (8 and 6) for their birthdays to meet and greet Petracca and we done it today.
He was amazingly generous with his time and was genuinely interested to hear about their auskick and their school, friends and anything else they wanted to walk about. Heaps of photos and a couple of signed gurnseys.
Absolute class act, can not speak highly enough.

Everyone - Happy playing role
Some roles mean you get 6 disposals and run to clog up space all day. Some mean you get 30+ and kick 3
Some take 10 intercepts, some just defend space.
This is a team that understand what they do for each other. Nothing proves this better than Gus Brayshaw. Drafted as probably the second best midfielder in his year, finishes third in the brownlow playing as an inside mid. And now asked to run lanes up and down the dead wing as a defensive mid. He, or more importantly his attitude, is the reason we are winning.
He should be very proud.

Did you tell her that Essendon haven’t won a final in 6138 days and if they take that long again to win one she’ll probably be dead before wishing her a nice day and walking off?
Hahah. Nah when she opens the "Melbourne Herald" she'll see "those silver tails" on top, that'll do me

Ok you seriously can't make this stuff up;
Went to inflatable world for a kids birthday today and we parked and hoped out. Kids are 6 and 8 and head to toe in Dee's gear proud we are finally having a win.
Car next to us this older lady (60ish sorry to those who don't think that's old) hops out and goes "oh demons? Boo"
I couldn't believe it, no wonder they get a bad name!?!

I've seen this a lot, with talk of us being "pretenders" if we lose.
IMO, a "pretender" is a side like Port or, in this season at least, Richmond - beefed up record with wins against bottom 10 sides but unable to beat good sides.
We're undefeated against the top 8 (and even if GWS replaces Richmond that will remain the same). IMO, a loss tonight doesn't make us a "pretender" or put a question mark on our "September credentials", it will just put in jeopardy our chance to do any September damage because we'll be making our chance of a top 2/4 spot less likely.
For so long as we keep playing good football against good sides, we're not a "pretender" and we're absolutely ready to contest in September, but we'll be shooting ourselves in the feet if we keep dropping games to bottom 10 sides.
Exactly. If they played the finals series tomorrow we would be undefeated against any teams left. I k ow it hurts losing to teams like pies and crows but as long as we don't have to play them in September (tongue firmly in cheek) we should be right

I recently told a friend of mine (Essendon supporter) that I’ve joined a Dees fan forum. She said, “are they snobs, or are they nice people?” I says, “yes.” She says, “yes, they’re snobs? Or yes, they’re nice people?” I says, “Both.” ?
So now ima send her a screenshot of the above convo and that should illustrate my point beautifully.
Last week I had the pichana on the coals and was smoking a padron, someone said "no wonder they think we are snobs" hahaha classic
I'd describe myself as a country bogan who gets paid too much if that helps

Ah yes, didn’t look close enough! Yeah tri tip is an awesome cut, I’ve been lucky enough to work with Sher Wagyu 10+ tri tip which is like butter, sooo good.
Cape Grim is a good go to . I recently sampled 1000 Guineas grass-fed (NSW) which was amazing - keep yer eye out for that brand.
enjoy and CARN DEES!
I'm up here on the border so might be able to chase some up

Nice marbling. Is it tri tip? Any particular breed/feed?
It's a rack of cape grim beef short ribs. I believe they are grass fed Angus from Tassie but happy to be corrected. They may not be the most expensive but I find them the best value for money.
A bit like Geelong, never really won any awards but rarely bottom out.
IVe never tried tri-tip, beef ribs have always been my go to they are pretty much [censored] proof (lucky for me) but the rump cap I done last weekend may have taken the cake it was ridiculously good.

Viney so important to the balance of our midfield. Looking forward to him crunching a few Bombers with his tackling pressure.
Keeping the pressure on the Ess ball carrier is crucial. Get them to panic and turn it over. They like a free flowing possession game.
I prefer the smaller foward line, especially if its a bit slippery. Weid and BBB are better suited to dry conditions. We did well without the earlier in the season with Tom McDonald stepping up.
Dees by 30
Couldn't agree more. We come out and racked up wins without either of them, why change a winning formula.

Well this is a family forum after all. Let's just say Mrs Josh wasn't the least bit interested in hard ball gets.... Happy for me to sit on the bench ??♂️

I've got some beef ribs going on the smoker so it's an early start for me. But if the kids stay asleep long enough I might have to see what Mrs Josh is up to first ???
