I think you make a fair point with your comparison of OMac and Weideman. Having said that, Hulett appears currently more suited to the rigours of AFL at the top level and I'd like to see him get first crack... starting with him replacing Dawes next week. There can be no reason why not, surely?

For the love of God, can someone explain to me why we are playing Fremantle in the NT. Team that up with the Alice Springs 'home' game and playing two games at Etihad v StKilda and it's an appalling decision with no eye on the long term benefit of actually winning games on one's own patch. It is time to blood Hulett. I understand the 'Dawes provides structure' argument but now is the time to put Hulett in. I don't think it's enough. And I may well be in the minority but I'm not as enamoured with Dom Tyson as others are.
