  1. very pleased to hear about bate and sylvia's progress, hopefully he learns to play for his team and gets more of the hard ball. What cost us today was our smarts, just very disappointed how we approached the foward 50, hopefully ND can teach the players to get the ball in quickly and kick into space for the fowards to lead into.

  2. yep, great to see the youngsters shine in this terrible loss, very impressed with

bate, kicked goals picked up some possies

petterd, for his second game and looks like he'll become a star

bell, consistenty performs and did a great job

    dunn, tagged cornes pretty well

    sylvia, getting better each week

jones, hardness at the ball and he'll become a ball magnet with the way he plays

but the thing that let us down is our smarts, we played pretty stupid footy and that's why we couldn't pull off our handball gameplan and win today

  3. yes, great news to hear about frawley, but guys don't forget about neville. He was injured last season and has been in the best the last two weeks, hopefully he can make his way to the sandy seniors. It looks like he is showing some promise and he deserves a spot more than some fringe players.

Also hope that newton can kick another big bag like last week and keep his name in the best through out the season and then hopefully make his debut later on in the year if our season keeps up the way it is at the moment.

Dissapointed about CJ, but it will be great to see warnock and see what he has got

  5. I'm with rhino except i still think jamar should be dropped. he's better than pj in the ruck, but not by a lot. pj gives it his all when he plays and jamar can never be found on the ground. Our rucks have been depleted and i don't think we will see jamar smash lade in the ruck. Jamar has been terrible over the last few weeks and pj should get his shot to back up white.

  6. what's destroyed us is our handball frenzy in the preseason and our lost of muscle in exchange for endurance, the mix isn't right and this season doesn't look like it'll get any better. The only thing i will be looking forward to is the youngsters. If we manage to get some wins on the board it'll all be in vein. There's no point in making the 8 unless you are in the top 4. We need to focus and sewing up the deficiencies in our team, our worries are our game plan, rucks and perhaps the need for a big gorilla backman.

Petterd was awesome tonight and i hope he plays out the whole season, he was the only highlight of the match.

  7. Johnstone- very lazy, has to improve his work ethic

P Johnson - Showed more than jamar and used his body well in the ruck against spider and found the ball around the ground

    C. Johnson - showed improvement, and more game time will see him improve, but he needs to consistently go for the hard ball like he did last year against the saints and eagles

Bate -unfortuneately injured, but all he needs is time and experience and will improve

    Petterd - outstanding debut performance

Garland - made no impact, that's because there was no impact to be made with the way sydney dominated the game

Bell - Getting better with each game he plays, and has been consistently one of our best

Miller - Needs to gain some more strength, with the way bazza handled him and needs to take more contested grabs to make his presence felt

Godfrey - very poor, disposal was no good and the only reason he beat goodes was his injury

Sylvia - same as bate, but he is recovering from injury, although someone needs to teach him the right way to go at the ball like mclean does

Jamar - made no impact, useless in the ruck and up forward, doesn't no how to read the ball in the air and kicking was poor and he will probably be delisted unless he can doing something about it

  8. Its is great to see petterd, garland and c. johnson get a game. Hope petterd can convert his good form and have a great debut game.

Great to see we are bringing in another foward option, because jamar up in the foward line is useless. I was really hoping to see newton get a game, but either way at least a youngster is playing. Seeing garland come in to the team will hopefully motivate newton and so he can break his way into the side.

C.johnson gets another chance, he better make sure he doesn't waste it, he has to go hard at the ball like when he came in last year against the saints and the eagles and racked up 20 possesions in both games.

I think the criticism of wheatly is his hardness, he just doesn't look like a tough nut and his skills aren't the greatest, he is being over taken by youngsters who show a lot more improvement than him

and C'mon col sylvia find your feet at afl level just like mclean, just keep the hard work up and the results will come

  9. Assuming injuries and all

    B: BELL, CARROLL, BIZZELL

    HB: WARD, JOHNSON, PICKETT

    C: BRUCE, PETTERD, BATE

    HF: YZE, MILLER, DAVEY

    F: GREEN,DUNN,NEWTON/GARLAND

    FOLL: WHITE, SYLVIA, MCDONALD

    IC: C.JOHNSON, BUCKLEY, GODFREY, JAMAR

    EMERG: HOLLAND, BROWN, NEWTON/GARLAND

    INS: PETTERD, BUCKLEY, C.JOHNSON, NEWTON/GARLAND

    OUTS: JONES, WHEATLEY, BROWN, WHELAN

We really need another foward option to assist dunn, i hope it is newton. miller just doesn't have a presence and will bob up at times. petterd, c.johnson and buckley all deserve there spots and rivers and jonstone are obvious ins.

  10. I'm 100% confident the club won't make the mistake of re-signing Daniher during the year.

If they wait until the end of the season the decision will be obvious.

John Northey has coached the most AFL games without a premiership. Why would the club take his advice?

He probably just wants someone to beat his record so he doesn't have to hold the shame of not winning a premiership

  11. Bate will be a player, all he needs is time and experience. He will learn from his mistakes, but yes he could use a run at sandy. The thing i reckon he needs to touch up on is his body, he needs to lose a bit of muscle for endurance and pace just like jones has.
