2015 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Pennant St Dee replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Wouldn't let the shortage of ruckman in the 2015 draft this far out bother me or even in 12 months time if there is a perceived lack of ruck stocks Darren Jolly, Dean Cox, Aaron Sandilands, Ivan Maric, Sam Jacobs, Shane Mumford and Mike Pyke have all been significant contributors to their sides over the last 15 years. There will always be ruckman popping up. -
What win will be your favourite??

2015 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch

Greg Clarke the one to watch from WA underager in the U/18 championships this year playing across Half Back. Smooth mover and was given the occassional run in the Subiaco Colts (coached by Stevie Armstrong) through the midfield and showed a bit. Will be very interested to see what they do with him this season. He will be drafted just a matter of where he goes another Northern Suburbs boy from the Sorrento-Duncraig production line -

A List Overview Ahead of the Rookie Draft
Pennant St Dee replied to ChaserJ's topic in Melbourne Demons
Nice work as always Chaser, wouldn't mind Hammelmen & Capiron. Keital an outside chance but is currently way off on his time trials. Eddy may also be worth a look to see if his SANFL form can be transferred as a fallback third tall option should injury strike any of our forwards -

But everybody thought it was a great idea at play-lunch -
I thought so but I understand he was back at East Perth last week and didn't exactly set the world on fire. Tyler is very athletic but there is a question on his tank. I understand his time trial time last week was well below what they would be expecting. I think he may well have been given a fair serve by the coaching staff. The choice is his now. Undoubted potential but as the great RDB says that only gets you so far.

Where do we finish on the ladder next year?
Pennant St Dee replied to CBDees's topic in Melbourne Demons
Meth Coast are going to miss Glass & Cox big time, injuries to a couple of their key players and they are in trouble. Next season they have an absolute dream draw which will cover over many of their flaws and they are flat track bullies Bombers will be decided on the Asada outcome And there will be a big slider who is not obvious at the moment whether it be age catching up with their list, injuries or issues with coach etc I have us possibly finishing 12th, think we will see big improvement again -

Went to watch the WA vs Vic Metro game earlier in the year keen to get a closer look at Brayshaw Wright and others but as per my write up it was Petracca who caught my eye. Over the moon that he fell to us. Welcome to the MFC Christian -

Agree Chaser I like the style and type of players we have targeted. Certainly won't be any more bruise free footy from our boys.

Can we please get rid of this myth, Darling was not overlooked becuase of perceived off field problems, Darling was overlooked because he had a massive drop off in form in his last year of 2010 at WAFL level. There was a strong notion that Darling had reached his ceiling as a footballer. He was an absolute standout as a 14-16 year old winning numerous awards and killing opponents with strength and speed. The move up from colts to seniors at West Perth exposed big deficencies in his game and his work ethic was poor and it showed up on game day. Jack thought it was just going to happen for him. He looked slow and was being beaten by opponents regulalry. That is why he slipped and Fact is he did not set the world on fire at Meth Coast when drafted and it took a rocket from Worsfold and a few home truths being told to get him to knuckle down. The rest is history

It's not really a bad thing , James still holds the 400m record at the Athletics centre my kids attend, not bad all these years later Good genetics and look at the positives -
Agree with this 100% Hawks, Freo, Cats, Swans, North all big bodied midfields. Thats what we're up against and where we need to head. Be nice for Kent and/or JKH to really step up and give us some real outside pace
-
If this pans out with Paddy McCartin going at Pick 1 Pick 2 & 3 Brayshaw & Petracca Pick 40 - Tyler Keital or Reece Mckenzie
-
I think the next time we enter the arena come finals time we will go very close to matching it

If it means us making the GF next year I really don't give two shytes if we are wearing the white Guernsey. I would sacrifice that to see us jump that far up the ladder
