  1. Who are the posters getting distraught? In my opinion it seems most posters are very understanding of the de listings.
  2. Does Buckley still qualify to be rookied?
  3. Bruce to V.L means that half his salary doesn't affect our salary cap. It doesn't free up a spot.
  4. Does anyone know what Campbell Browns contract status is? Its a complete meat market this year.
  5. Wow. Poor guy. I simply cannot believe it.
  6. Collingwood traded their first round pick for Cameron Wood in 2007. I think everyone on here knows that we would have to throw in pick 18 or another sweetener to get the deal over the line. Unfortunately what is more likely to happen is Jamar DOES decide to go to port, and then port offer there 2nd round pick. Port are probably the worst team to negotiate with.
  7. So we were fools to except pick 12 for Thompson when he was clearly going to be a star. But you think we should have let him go for nothing? Freak, I want you to imagine that this had happend. Now I want you to explain to me, how this situation would have changed Mcleans mind.
  8. Jamar's trade value is worth whatever a club is willing to pay. Cam Wood being a prime example of what clubs would be willing to pay. I would want a first rounder for him, if we can't get a first rounder then no deal.
  9. Melbourne defender Simon Buckley, who impressed last year as a rebounding half-back before being cut down by injury this season, is attracting significant interest from several clubs. The Demons could move him on for the right deal, which could be a second or third round pick. They rate Buckley highly, but have others who play a similar role. Carlton is one of the clubs linked to Buckley, with the Blues also believed to be interested in Daniel Bell. Despite speculation of a move, Brad Miller is a required player at Melbourne. Miller is yet to sign, but has been on an extended overseas break. The Demons are offering him a new deal. It is understood Melbourne and Carlton have spoken to Bulldog Andrejs Everitt about a possible move. But the Demons appear unlikely to make a serious play for Everitt, who is under contract. They will have picks No.1, No.2, No.11 and No.18 in the draft after the McLean deal and have every intention of keeping them. This article seems odd to me. Buckley being linked to clubs, Miller a required player and Blues interested in Bell??? All seems very odd. Hell, they can take Bell as part of the Mclean trade. That way it opens up a spot for Buckley to stay!
  10. That's way better! It fits well with Watts having a ball in his hands. Makes it look more balanced.
  11. Cameron Bruce and Brad Green were both drafted in 99. How come Bruce is the only one eligible for the V.L?
  12. Wow that looks heaps better than the old one. The only problem is that Jack Watts looks like he's running like a girl.
  13. At the time it was a win/win for both clubs. How many games over the past 5 years would we have won if we had kept Jolly? Not any that mattered.
  14. I really don't think he is going to make it to pick 11. He's a machine. He's got a massive kick on him and knows where the goals are. He's AFL ready made. Would be able to rotate through the midfield as well. If he is available at pick 11 we would be fools not to pick him up. He would clearly be best available. We would still be able to pick up Carlise or Griffiths at 18.
  15. I would rather have a punt on Max Gawn at pick 34. 206cm tall. Would have played ruck for Vic Metro this year but got injured pre-season.
  16. Belly had an awesome 2006. Beat just about every player he came up against that year. Never reached the same standard when that collingwood sniper nearly made him a paraplegic. Has never played a good game since. If he is not traded this year, he will be delisted next year. We simply have too much young talent to give him a position on the field.
  17. We would have to have a good think about it if they offered up pick 9. This time last year I reckon most people on these boards would have jumped at the chance to get a first rounder for Jamar. 12 months on he has played some good games. But he has also been out injured for most of the year too. It wouldn't be a straight swap though. We would have to give something else up as well. And no, Bell is not going to cut it, just because he is from S.A.
  18. Good work by Brock. Said all the right things. Dodged the reason why he was leaving very well. God Andy Maher is a [censored]. Carlton did have the chance to take him you idiot. You took Walker instead.
  19. I would have been so angry if we had won more than 4 this year. No doubt this has created an issue with some of the players. No doubt there would be some bad vibes at the club at the moment. The only way this is going to be fixed is by winning some games next year which will no doubt bring the team back together. New season cant start soon enough.
  20. haha! keep it up. it keeps me entertained during the slow part of the year. Where's Nudge this year?
  21. I have to be honest, when you came on these boards last year and were thinking up every single trade under the sun, I found it pretty annoying to read. This year I see your posts and it makes me smile to myself. Its pretty clear that you will not be stopped by anything that anyone writes about your posts. And I love how passionate you must be, and how much time you must spend thinking up trades. You clearly love this time of year. As do I. If Port end up with Pick 8 + 9, they would definitely only give us Pick 9 for Jamar + 18. Jamar played a ripper against them this year. They might have liked what they saw. But I doubt they would give up a first round pick for him. Prior to this year Jamar was a decent 2nd ruck/poor 1st ruck. He improved a lot this year, but was still injury prone. Port are bastards to trade with, they will try and shaft us at every opportunity. Pick 34 + Miller + Valenti would be closer. I think Sydney would be able to pick Valenti up as a recycled rookie for nothing at the end of the year.

    Pick 11

192????? Oh [censored]! just forget about him RIGHT NOW! Everyone on here knows how players go at 192! Is there any chance of him growing 1cm more?
  23. I've put this rumour over to bigfooty to see what collingwood supppoters think about it. Bigfooty can be useful sometimes. Big Footy Thread.

    Pick 11

I wouldn't really value my opinion much, I've been living in london for the past year and have never seen the players in the flesh. All the info I have gotten has been from other people on website forums and youtube vids. Saying that however - Out of the players I listed. Panos and Talia are the ones who warrant being picked up with pick 11. Everyone else could slide to 18. I would be tempted to take Talia first. He can play either end, and he is Victorian. Then again, I think Panos would be a better forward.
  25. Who are? Demons? or other clubs?
