  1. Is Neil Craig actually any good? Happy to be proven otherwise, but he didn't really set Adelaide on fire as they never really eventuated to anything...and Scott Byrnes is an inexperienced coach that many people on here would not be happy with? Although I do like the culture that Byrnes has come from, if he could instill some Collingwood/West Coast football into our team I'd be thrilled.
  2. Damo Barrett just said Dees could be looking at Scott Byrnes with Neil Craig as his wingman....thoughts?
  3. Also I believe that he was leaning towards Melbourne over the 5 mil over 5 years deal, but GWS then extended it to a sixth and offered 2 mil for the first year.
  4. Guys, honestly I was as mad as anyone when I found out. But after discussions at school, I think this has to be taken into perspective. He's come from a family that hasn't had the best of things, and at the offer of 2 million dollars next year, then 4 million over 5, thats just too hard to refuse. Being the family orientated guy he is, he'd be able to help set up his parents in a nice house and really help them out. I don't resent Tom, I hate the AFL for putting this team in the competition and it's snake like regulations that allow things like this to happen. Who offers a kid thats played 31 games $2 million dollars next year? That sort of money is record breaking, for a injury riddled player in his third season! The compensation is also a crock of [censored]. We used our number 1 pick on this kid, and what do we get in return? Pick 10 and 19? Joke. Shattered.
  5. I think Ross will be coming to the club very shortly boys, heard from a lot of St Kilda boys at the party I was just at saying Ross held the boys at the end of the game on the ground and delivered a very serious message. I think getting Ross would be a massive win, with the list we have he might be able to convert it into a premiership team.
  6. Nah mate your wrong, Blease got subbed off ages ago.
  7. Haha what a contrast in players that would be, Morton to Viney. I'd fall off my chair at least once a game thinking that Morton was playing instead of Jack. He's an absolute nutter and I love it, just what we want in our club. A real [censored]-stirrer, who saw him in the Metro v country grand final? Was always the first in to all the fights, swinging people around and ripping guernseys. Also got reported twice though which may be a bit of a worry.
  8. Yep Tyson is a star, played club footy with him for years and week in week out would just dominate. Obviously once the level of footy got better he stagnated a little bit, but now is back to his best, was best on ground when Metro played Country. Saying that, I think he will be snapped up before we get him, I reckon we look at Toby Greene for our first pick, love how he goes about it.
  9. Sewell's not quick and can't kick, Black is slow, Ling is slow, Ball (?). There are plenty of great midfielders in the league that don't have the toe of your Judd's and Swan's, doesn't make them useless. I don't see the harm in giving Bate a stint in the midfield, season is cooked, he had 38 on the weekend against a solid bullants midfield consisting of Mclean, Lucas, Curnow etc. People are asking for a strong bodied player to help out Moloney in the clinches, Bate would provide that. If the club gave him specific roles (block at stoppages for Moloney+Jamar combo) he could be useful. But that is all wishful thinking. But a 38 disposal game shows he is capable of winning the footy around the ground, and could provide a bit of a headache for slack opposition midfielders when going forward, due to his dangerous range around the 50-60 m mark. Give the poor bugger another chance, worth persevering with over Dunn or Warnock.
  10. Martin. I'd heavily argue Martin is the most improved player in the entire competition.
  11. This is good for the Scully scenario boys. Even if many of you think he's gone, Bleasey is Tom's best mate at the club, and with him finally stringing some games together it can only help...
  12. Yeah wheres the confirmation? I thought it was announced Tuesday morning? I would of thought competition would be stiff this week with Butcher and Gunston playing good games as well.
  13. Yeah saw it, at the time I wasn't really impressed, but looking back on it now it's more than likely nothing, he may be going for a holiday or relatives or anything. Nothing to really worry about I think boys.
  14. Anywhere I can watch it online?! Seriously need to see it, I've heard from at least 30 people how funny it is.
  15. When did Blease have 39 for a game? Don't talk down Scully, the kid is a star. Yes Blease played a brilliant game today, and has been good for the last two, but Scully was incredible in his first year, and under heavy injury clouds has still been consistent this year.
  16. 6. Garland 5. Blease 4. Moloney 3. Jones 2. Frawley 1. McDonald
  17. Didn't Garry say it was 6 mil over 3 years for the back? I don't get how they would get a logo on the front of the jumper seeing as they dont seem to have one?
  18. deeluded surely anyone being traded to port adelaide would just crack an almight shitfit and just retire, Joel Mac doesn't deserve that.
  19. Spot on. I was disgusted with the lack of people there. People may whinge about the time-slot, seriously harden up. Couldn't pick a better game to go too, Beautiful day, at the G against a team were we really should have won. Whenever Richmond kicked a goal in the clutch the noise was deafening, when we did it was polite clapping and a couple of shouts.
  20. Alright so the decision to upgrade Campbell would have to be one of the most idiotic I've ever seen, considering how Jamar and Martin are doing fine, and Gawn is adequate back up should one of them go down. And too slow? God give him a crack. If he's turning in games like this consistently, surely he's worthy over a Morton? Even if you think they are only VFL standard, he's putting his hand firmly up for a run in the seniors, and is very disappointing it cannot be given to him.
  21. Gotch is a midget but an absolute machine, racks up the possies, dangerous small forward and can take a hanger.
