We are [censored] woeful.

I reckon you've nailed it.Maybe not ... That looks like Tysons scone second from left.
-
Nah, left to right: Garland, Tyson, Vince, Jones, Grimes, Frawley, Trengove, Viney or Watts.

Reported that he pulled up with a sore hammy from training. Not going to risk playing him.

Wow. This is absolutely lyrical. I just found myself trying to add a catchy tune to it as I was reading it.

It will be turn over capital city on Sunday. The Dogs are a more polished side than we are and the Eagles pressured them heavily by hunting in packs, forcing the Dogs into dishing the ball out to a team mate with no chance of clearing it. Imagine how our boys will fair? Eagles by at least 12 goals.

Luke Hodge, On The Couch "he's just gone back to WA to get his drivers licence." I thought at the time, why not just get the damn thing in Vic?
-
I was an advocate of using one of our mid range picks on him (before trades) and I don't think there was any doubt of his potential. Dodged a bullet for sure.

Howe must pull his finger out and the rest of the team must learn to use him as an option more effectively. Breust at the Hawks nailed 5 of 21 goals on the weekend from 53 Forward 50 entries - we could only manage 6 goals (in accuracy I know) from a total of 48 entries. If we can get a little bit of consistency this area we'll look a lot better.

First time I'd opened this thread for a few days. Seriously guys. FMD.

St. Kilda v Melbourne - Match Preview & Team Selection
McQueen replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Interesting that the general media/ex footballers still rate us so poorly. I was only listening to Glen Jakovich yesterday on radio and he firmly believes St Kilda will "ambush" the Demons tonight. I look forward to calling in next week and reminding of that comment.. Hopefully. -

The only thing I hold against Lyon is his role in the selection of coaches. Otherwise, a great servant of the club.

I gave it the first 5 minutes. Cringe-worthy.

St. Kilda v Melbourne - Match Preview & Team Selection
McQueen replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'd feel the same if the coaching group of the past two seasons was at the helm again. We don't have the best players on the park but I'm pretty confident the guys in the box will make a big difference during the game as opposed to previous years. -

Looks like a winning team to me. Minus Byrnes. Looks as though JKH will get the vest... Should be the other way around. -
I'd want to see a dominant return to AFL level footy.

The Crows will be highly uninterested in trading Walker given his age and KPP status. Another year of low draft picks might be enough to sway them but would we be prepared to hand over a top 10 pick for another forward with a bad injury history?
-
Injuries aside the hype around Natainui isn't relative to his output. He's capable of some freakish things but my point was regards his general consistency. I listened to Simmo on ABC Perth yesterday and he's not even sold on Natainui yet. He reckons as an opposition coach you never really took much notice of specific players until you were actually playing them (referring to his days at the Hawks). Seems he's not been sucked into all of the hype surrounding him. Wonder what he thinks of the $5M on offer..

Gee, I need to study the fixture more closely. Round 22 it is.
-
At least they play in your state this year hardtack.

The continuing saga of Melbourne's injury list - 2014
McQueen replied to alpha33's topic in Melbourne Demons
With the added cautiousness around concussion nowadays I would not be holding my breath. -
Wines is one out of the box. A beast who had an AFL ready body at the time of the draft. I appreciate all of that. Why the fuggen hell we didn't secure him when we had the chance I will never know but like you will endeavour to get over it. We had an absolute and clear need for a young tough contested ball winner to bolster our midfield. He and Viney were never going to be surplus to requirements. Posters who believe that argument holds any weight are delusional.
