I chuckle at the obviousness when Roosy acknowledges the work done prior to Beveridges appointment (ie giving the kudos to McCartney) in an effort to somehow appease the Melbourne supporter base. Or is this just me?
-
They just want the season to end according to Roos. What sort of a mindset is that?

Jones is trying to turn this ship around. It's a bloody big ship and will take more than just his effort. I think he's a fine skipper who hasn't got the game changing abilities of other club captains but nobody should question his commitment to the club and his role of Captain.
-
He's clearly a worse player now. Agree with your summation above.
-
He finished third in their B&F last year.Granted he had the benefit of a more skilled and drilled team around him but your logic is questionable. Regardless, if he's picked this week I will consider not bothering to watch another Melbourne game this year.

Team football. We're shithouse at it. That is all.

I've been enjoying a few ales and a lovely rib eye with great friends. Just checked the score for the first time. Back to the ales.

I can't believe we lost to that rabble of a club.

A Demon win would put an end to the frothing from the media about the Bulldogs high octane footy. I think it'll be a tight game. Dee's by 9 points.

Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 20

Both have particular qualtiies. Riley is the smash and extract type and Newton is the outside finisher who snags a goal or two. I reckon they'll be kept on the list. -

A healthy Bail is better than a sick Salem. Actually, hang on...... -

The question now is whether he's a handy depth player moving forward. He couldn't crack into a strong Freo team and has hardly done much better at the MFC, relatively speaking. If JT and the recruiting team can rustle up one or two more VDB's out of the lower tier comps, I can't see the necessity of keeping players like Viv on the list. Crash and bash with average skill execution seems to be of more value. Just has not shown enough and is too slow. -
It's a great bonus for any team to have a few funny buggers in it to lighten the mood and keep the others smiling. It's a good thing he's rucking well too.

It should the other way around. They're both bog slow but Toumpas is more creative when he gets the pill. -

I'd be very surprised if Salem wasn't named and expected to play. Expect him to ease into it as the Sub. -

Adopt the IDGAF mentality. -
Well played, Sir.

You're looking at the ladies version, swyl. It's cleavage.
-
Neeld caused other players to become irate - but hardly Watts. Either way, it had an influential and lasting negative effect.
-
. More inside 50's would do wonders for his chances. As a team, we've shown we can convert off the lesser entries compared to our opposition. Hopefully the higher scoring theme continues in the run home.
-
I noticed that also but thought it was appropriate. Whilst Roosy got his suggestion across eventually about the players and industry having a great opportunity to say "enough is enough," it was Buckleys players they were talking about and at that stage there were a lot of opinions being aired. I reckon it was Slobbo who [censored] Buckley off and got him snapping Roosy off.
-
I enjoy listening to him as opposed to Roosy most episodes. Each to their own.
-
I don't. It would've been very egotistical of Dangerfield or anyone for that matter to use such a tragic occasion to make a decision on his/their contract status.
-
I think we should back-pay him with an apology for only offering $500k. Seriously though, it might all come down to team balance and success over the duration. Fingers crossed that we'll have a real issue in managing the cap in the years to come due to all of or stars.
