Karnezis? No!

But the no [censored] censor still applies to Demonland.

Bombers would be the obvious fit.

Agreed. I was in the Dayle Garlett corner also and look how that turned out. I'd be shocked if we coughed up an early pick for him. The risk is far greater than the reward to deal with an early pick. Jeff Garlett has been handy so I have no doubt the club can be a positive influence but we got Jeffy for a bag of crisps.

What a great Father's Day. Mother in law ended up coming over and taking the kids to the park. A very pleasurable 1/2 dozen Pale Ales consumed, The missus sorted me out at half time, and; The Dee's won at Etihad.

So you can appreciate my dilemma?

I'm tossing up whether to stay home and watch it or go shopping at IKEA with the handbrake and kidlets.

Okay. Bad idea.

Right up until he won us games. Sure.

A culture killer who has 3 flags against his career. Please elaborate.
-
Yeah, but he's clearly a step above the depth we currently have on the list and a step above most of the type of player you allude to.
-
Why?

There's not many players retiring or due to retire which I consider will without doubt be a senior coach one day. The two that are, and have been standouts over their career in my opinion would be Luke Hodge and Steve Johnson. Hodge's form clearly warrants another one or two years given where the Hawks are, challenging for another flag. Johnson however has called time at Geelong and possibly, within the next week or two call time on his professional career altogether. But let's say he doesn't. Is he the type of player to help fast-track our younger brigade by playing with them for a year or two and then assuming a coaching role? We're years off challenging for a flag and with dead wood such as M Jones, Bail, Jordie Mc, et al about to be moved on, the question is whether we approach Johnson to bring a more daring and attacking player to our list. I'm keen.

Dees should seek AFL Exoneration of Tanking fiasco.

I'll disagree with the methods North are employing rules they're manipulating right up until the MFC get the opportunity to do the same. Only then, will it be okay and acceptable. -
The supposed reason for Paddy returning to Vic is to be near his family in Moggs creek. Well, the greater Melbourne area is really only another 45 mins away from Geelong. He will be busy training and playing footy all over the country for 10 months of the year so an extra 60 kms from Ma and Pa won't mean much. FCS, he's managed to cope in Adelaide for 6+ years without being too homesick. If he chasing immediate success he'll end up at Hawthorn on a pretty handy salary. If he really see's 60kms as a big deal and just wants a big pay day and no chance of success he will choose Geelong. If he's hopeful of success and wants to play a role in bringing the MFC into finals and possibly a flag within the next 8 years before he retires and get paid a shed load for it then we're in with a chance. All Victorian teams are in the race if he's going to return.

Where's picket fence? [censored]

Leppa must be a real [censored].

Maybe I'm just choosing to see it that way.

Paraphrased. Same thing.

It didn't affect nor effect Jack Viney.Toumpas even boarded with the Vineys for a period. Plowman and O'Rourke have played less games and hardly shown anything more than the Toump. Lets give our coaches time to develop him rather than the usual benchmark that high draft picks are unfairly measured against. Roos said on 360 on Monday night that AFL is probably the only elite sporting competition in the world that has a dedicated group of coaches working purely on development of the clubs players. Like everything within the game, development methods are evolving. If Toumpas is re-signed for a another two years it obviously means two things: 1. Roos and Goodwin think he can cut it at AFL level. 2. They can see a role for him in the game plan moving forward.

The first time I was harrassed for being a 'Mexican' was in Port Headland way back in '96. I just told this bloke to not be so concerned and that I was only here to take his job and shag his wife.

West Aussies are the most parochial and narrow minded football supporters in the country. The irony is that they bang on about how "it's still the VFL" rubbish. The 16 other AFL clubs get very little coverage in the media and half of the time it's incorrect. Gossage is terrible and 6PR which is 3AW's affiliate station is woeful. Basil Zemplas, Brad Hardie, Karl Langdon etc. Excruciating radio to listen to. WA footy stalwarts hate Victorian clubs with sheer passion and the jibes flow freely on radio and television. It's quite childish and cringeworthy as rjay pointed out. Subi oval is a very hostile place to be when you're team is getting done.

Clearly, and by a country mile, the most; Punchable Kickable Kneeable Elbowable Hip n shoulderable merchant banker and oxygen thief I know. He was coach of the Colac Tigers many years ago and royally fugged the club over. Makes you wonder how Pelicans like him have made it to where they are. Then again, Crocmedia is more proof of how poor the industry is.
