  1. Confirmation right there.
  2. I take it that he has enough 'X' factor for you, Ethan?
  3. If Omeara doesn't make it back or is traded, Prestia, Bennell and Dixon all walk and Ablett is ageing and has a dicky shoulder, I would be very surprised if they improved much at all next year.
  4. I reckon he's worth our second rounder.
  5. Gold Coast are going to be so very average next year. Another bottom 4 finish beckons.
  6. Carey knows how to land on his feet, gotta give him that much. Shags mates wife Drink and drug rampages Glasses girlfriend Successful media career.
  7. I share similar sentiments, Ron. Our team still consists of a lot of inconsistent performers and for us to become a strong team we can't afford to carry them forward. Watts played 20 games this year and had a patch of form that showed he's got the potential to play a harder brand of footy. He's quick and has great skills but I can't help but feel Misson and the conditioning guys should aim to stack another 5 kilos on to Jack. Maybe that will be of more benefit to him by having a bigger and stronger body for Roos contested football. I don't wish to see him traded and believe Macca and Goody have a plan for him.
  8. I'm actually feeling a little disturbed about going for Richmond today. After North resting players and that smug pri*k of a coach demanding an apology from anyone who didn't think it was the spirit of the game, I really want Richmond to do a number on North.
  9. Property in Clackline has skyrocketed above $150K. He might know what he's on about.
  10. He made a point of that during his last interview. It will be interesting to see indeed.
  11. WTF does he mean by “I was pretty stunned by it to be honest, but he’s a city boy that really wants to push his business,” added Ralph. He's from Dongara for crying out loud - population < 3000.
  12. Look, this is probably a wee bit biased and fantastical however, if I was PD and at the end of last year when the MFC came calling with a substantial contract and a really well sold strategy and picture of the list and where we're going, I would, in the best interests of the club, remain at the Crows for 2015 and not do the MFC out of draft picks. I would say, "bring that offer to me when I'm a FA and we're on." If that was the case, PD has effectively seen the drafting of AB and CP and the blossoming career of the Hulk. It would be the sensible thing to do by ensuring the club he's heading to has gained maximum value from his move. The MFC may have given up pick 2 and a player, or pick 12 if the Trengove trade had have transpired but the must have backed themselves to keep him. The compensation will now still be top 10 but in a shallow draft it's hardly been a good decision by them. Who knows. I'm as hopeful as anyone else here. He's a club changer.
  13. By reading the last few pages of this thread anyone would be forgiven for thinking it's a done deal and only the formalities remain. I love how us supporters set ourselves up for disappointment during trade periods.
  14. I'm not disagreeing with your thoughts about how the club would/should be doing its due diligence. The comparison to Darling was pointless and it was use as the basis of your argument.
  15. How is this point even relevant? Darling was a Junior with an alleged poor attitude. Bennell is a player who's been in the system for 4 years, has obvious talent, but has also been suspended for boozing, had his picture spread all over the national media inhaling lines of whiz and now arguing with nightclub bouncers. We're not drafting a junior here with debatable attitude issues. We're looking at trading for a seasoned player with major behavioural problems. Apples with apples, please!
  16. See that muppet Barrett has been stealing stories from forums again. The bloke is a world class stroker. http://m.afl.com.au/news/2015-09-10/scrap-the-compo-pick-says-barrett?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=RSS+feed%3A+AFL+Latest+News
  17. Myself as well however, the backfire could be enormous if we cough up too much to make it happen in the first place.
  18. I'm indifferent on this. He's a talented player but has lots of baggage. Does the MFC have the requirement for a player like him at this point in time? Debatable.
  19. Probably something that should be left alone regardless.
  20. For the hard core analysts amongst us who understand what real key variables are: Hogan plays for Melbourne Cripps plays for Carlton Hogan by a mile.
  21. It would be easier if you just mute fox footy and listen to Grandstand but Fox has a one of two second delay on my box. Maybe they know their commentators are the pits..?
  22. Hand balling a footy is one thing, positioning from the bloke wanting it and timing from the bloke delivering it is an entirely different thing. Guess where we fail?
  23. The culture at the Suns is obviously very ordinary. For a club that's only a few years old it goes to show how badly that've mismanaged the development of that culture and the players. Their behaviours are somewhat driven by the environment and the Good Coast has its failings in this regard. The GCS hierarchy didn't really take this into account and neither did the AFL to be fair. Is Bennell a victim of circumstances that were poorly managed by employer? Probably, however the individual has some serious questions over his ability and drive to work with the club and have a great AFL career. Is the MFC better equipped? You would think so. Is Melbourne a better city to be in? Possibly. Tough call but I agree we should play it cool and see what other clubs forward before showing too much interest.
  24. Generational player.
  25. Hardly the most attractive though. Next.
