  1. We'll push for the top eight with those blokes on board.
  2. http://demonland.com/forums/index.php?/topic/38451-delistingstrades-at-end-of-the-season/page-120#entry1166570
  3. It's a fair point you make but if they don't give something significant up now, what will they have in 4 to 6 years, given the changes to the academy draftees? If anything happens it will involve picks and younger MFC players you would think.
  4. I wouldn't be surprised if the Swans have come to the realisation that their premiership hopes have dissipated quite significantly this year and moving forward don't look too flash. It would make sense to unload one of their stars to gain early draft picks with an eye to regenerating for another tilt in 4 to 6 years. Parker is a practical possibility.
  5. I'll not be convinced until you start deriding everyone's thoughts and opinions.
  6. You're having a lend mate. What was Saty's full name? I think olisik has a couple of accounts going.
  7. What, are, you, on?
  8. Tigers think they're in a premiership window and are prepared to roll the dice and risk it with Harley. We're in the middle of a major culture shift and to bring in Bennell now would most definitely risk denting all of the hard work the club has done over the Roos/Jackson period. I'd be willing to think the club sees it as simply not worth it. Ken Judge passed some comments on Bennell last Saturday on the radio which went something like: Ablett Snr showed how much of a potential star in the making he was at Hawthorn but didn't toe the line and for fear of it infecting the rest of the list, Yabby Jeans moved him on and he ended up at Geelong where he turned out to be one of the all time greats and played in two GF's - the Hawks went on to win 4 premierships. I can't recall who Judge mentioned but they basically said there was two sets of rules at Geelong which was one for Ablett and the other for the rest of the squad. His comments about Bennell directly were referencing a couple of other incidents that occurred between the infamous Tassie photo and when he had the incident with the bouncer. He said they were kept under wraps and out of the media but were pretty disturbing. I think PSD probably alluded these incidents early on in this thread. Richmond might back themselves in to control Bennell given they've managed to get Dusty's [censored] together for him and maybe the MFC might think it could do the same however, we have one problem child at the club that takes up enormous resources at the expense of the rest of the players (Jurrah) is not fair and doesn't bode well for a strong culture being built off the foundation of a team first mentality. The Suns want him gone. I think that speaks volumes on its own. I reckon we'll look back on this one and not be too disappointed at all.
  9. The blokes a midget, albeit a fast one.
  10. I can't see the point. Just consider it an opinion.
  11. I don't believe this to be the case.
  12. Yes, wasn't this year supposed to beginning of our three-peat?
  13. It would be difficult for the club to say anything at this stage which only adds to our collective nervousness. People forget that Macca actually stepped down from the Senior Coach position at the Dogs whereas it's widely reported he was sacked. It would be (hypothetically) interesting to know how the Dogs would've performed under him this year given the plaudits he receives from most of his past players and coaches he's worked with. That's what's disappointing me the most. His reputation in development is exemplary and which makes him a perfect fit at a crucial time for the MFC. But, if he wants to have a the crack at a senior coach gig you can't begrudge a bloke of that.
  14. Where's the evil1 poster? Has a direct link to Macca, or his wife I think... Any word?
  15. Didn't have the tank. Awesome effort to play at the level he did given he came off the back of half a pre season. Will be given more time on the ball this next season you'd think.
  16. Tom Mc not a single vote. Ridiculous.
  17. Rookie drafting done right.
  18. . Where does depth start and finish on the 'A, B, C' scale?I would love an A grader but I won't be devastated if we don't get one. As Mandee has said, get another couple of VDB's if possible.
  19. I won't be gutted if we don't land an A grade mid, even if Roos has continually said we need one. We lack depth players more than anything. The fellas let go so far aren't considered depth in the eyes of the coaches and most would agree. We need a list that can maintain a performance standard once injuries start to take their toll. Our best 22 will be starting to get some playing time together by the end of this year and I'm more confident than ever that if fit, we can push into finals. Draft/trade some decent depth players first and foremost.
  20. Has a man-bun. It's a no, from me.
  21. I'm already looking forward to us making the journey down the Princes Hwy for another win next year. Bernie to get the job done on Danger once again.
  22. Okay, so living closer to the MCG makes you a better judge of what's going on in footy. Get a grip.
  23. 'Trawl'... Oh well.
  24. I think I'll just open this thread tomorrow and trawl through it then.
