I won't be having a hand in it.

Take 8: Best of the rest - A new look at training Monday 14th
McQueen replied to Six6Six's topic in Melbourne Demons
I cannot wait for Petracca to play for us next year. I reckon he'll have a very significant impact. -
It was for a large multi-national I work for and across many different business segments so there was a fair array of office-based to floor level leadership. Maybe that was part of the reason we thought it failed, because it was too much of a diverse group and not a 'team' in the true meaning of the word. The follow-up was paltry and clearly showed the training provider was not prepared or equipped to manage the participants - rather ironic I must say. I agree that if done right these types of things can be of value. The point of my post was to reveal that people shouldn't just automatically jizz in their pants by thinking it will be a clear benefit for the club. I hope I'm wrong.

I've had leadership training like this before with ex-SAS soldiers where sleep deprivation and both physical and mental limits were explored. It was tough, felt rewarding and worthwhile. On the last day, you get hammered and when you think it's not going to end it does. We got a few cold beers and big fat T bone steak at the end and they promptly shoved a survey (about how we thought the training was) under our nose. Yeah, of course we filled it out positively. Looking back on it now, it was a waste of time and money and that's the general consensus from the cohort I was on. I hope the MFC and players get more from this type of thing than I did. Just a blip on the pre season training radar and will most likely mean SFA come game time.

I think trying to calculate an answer to your question would take more energy than both processes combined. It's cheaper and easier.

What environmental effects are concerned about? The reusable bottles last for years so there's a clear benefit just in that. We use Cottee's no added sugar cordial or squeeze in fresh lemon or lime juice to taste. Co2 refills cost $20 so when it's all said and done you're looking at 40 cents per litre of made drink maximum.

I don't need to see Watts crash a pack of spear himself at a ground ball contest because we've got enough of those players. I would however be happy to witness a higher intensity and fierceness shown in his tackling efforts. Some of them have just been plain lame over the years with his general tackling technique poorly executed.

I've bought my little sister a Sodastream drink maker. Weve had one for years and I reckon they're the ducks nuts.

Maybe Lleyton can win a set on Gosch's. -

No. -
If he wants to come to Melbourne then a trade will be made. Right age group, definitely the right type of player to execute the game plan and style. We've still got passengers in the midfield mix and Ollie would be best 22 every round of the year.

Full training is the main kpi, no doubt about that.

Tongue in cheek is difficult to translate on the interweb. Oh well.

Success will take care of that.

You don't arrive at the same conclusion?

I posted a few months ago in a thread I can't remember that Channel 10 here in Perth reported Wines was only thinking about a short term contract at the most. I have no doubt that Ollie will not play with Port past the end of next season. Will he be a Demon?

We can't get a Clayton oompaloompa update?

Why are discussing Magner? vandenBerg is is a cut above him in so many more areas but particularly footy smarts. I'm really looking forward to Vanders second season as well.

Anyhoo.... Those arms and shoulders on Trenners!
