I see the ability to kick on his left foot as only a small objective in his recovery. As anyone who's played the game knows, your feet get stood on, fallen on and kicked quite a bit - particularly when you're playing on the ball. I tend to think that's going to pose a greater obstacle and obviously we won't know until he plays competition footy.

I'm confident that Misson et al have done the work regards the full management of Kents hammies. From strengthening to game preparation to recovery. Hea been going full tilt at training and match sim and hasn't missed a beat which indicates the level of confidence that he and the conditioning staff must have.

There is coffee in Perth but it costs $38 a cup, relative to the general high cost of living here. Jesse will need a huge salary paid to him if he has ambitions of moving back to Perth, particularly if he loves a coffee.

Agree. His attributes could be wasted playing to close to goal.

Big 4 caravan park experience at Armadale when you were 12 years old probably isn't a true reflection of the status quo, C&B.

Had the shyte kicked out of me in Northbridge about 20 years ago. The nightlife scene is a difficult one to enjoy thanks to the violence over here. There's much nicer places to go to nowadays that are very family friendly. Let's see how Freo go.

I'm a born and raised Victorian but love it over here. That said I still feel the pull of home every so often. Jesse is a competitor and wants a flag. In the grand scheme of things I truly believe we have a better core of youngsters to help him achieve that compared to Freo. I reckon they'll really slide this year.

Which I find a little amusing to be honest. When did he leave Perth? He was a 17 year old and has spent the last 3 to 4 years in Melbourne. Sure he's had opportunities to experience Perth as an adult but not in the same way as Melbourne. Perth has heaps to do and a much nicer climate to do it in.

Let me try. "What are you lot talking about? It's supposed to be a football show, talking about all things football. Don't bore me with your dribble if you've got nothing of value to offer!"

A bit of man love fun between Hoges and Harmesy. Seriously though it does appear they are pretty tight mates. I think it was Harmes first goal last season that Jesse was super pleased and really got around him. https://instagram.com/p/BBtDFTRD5o-/

If I stop waxing.

I've got a hairy back. Can I be a co-host?

We're all individuals. I've committed this year to avoid the petty barbs with people I've never met and just try and post positively about the club. Cheers to yourself and everyone else who scribes anything about training. I reckon we're in for a cracker of a season.

He'll push through the heartache with a bit the old 'shin-[censored]' spirit.

Christian Petracca's toe injury (in full training)

Surely he's still on Trac for a round 1 debut? -

Let's see how they perform under a different game plan and team rules. It just might make a difference. That said, I share a similar sentiment.

Is there scope for Bugg takeover the role that Viney did so well at last year, given his disposal is questionable?
-
It's more than that. All of those players were inducted into the MFC when the environment and culture was beginning its long and gradual erosion. Having the desire to perform well is one thing but if the workplace culture is shytes and giggles, it sets you up for failure. We bagged Scully at the time but if we are true to general commentary of that era, there's little wonder he was unimpressed - millions aside. JT is a competitor but was guided by loyalty, the same with Grimes. Its the development versus talent argument. You need to provide the environment to bring out the fierce competitor in people. We have that now.

DC Cometti to stand his Mic down, end of season.

Fair weather variety I reckon. -

Foxtel callers aren't too flash either. You do however get to watch/record every Melbourne game. Unfortunately 'Duh Wayne' tends to call most of our games for some inexplicable reason and due to the 2 to 3 second delay with Foxtel the radio on in the background is hardly an option either. -

My finely tuned sarcasmometer just spiked. -
The thread was created with the intent of monitoring his PROGRESS. Not revisiting the past and lamenting about how the club managed his injury or the trade with Richmond. JT is only concerned about what's in front of him. Let's all do the same!

Players can be groomed to swing between ends. We've seen it before in our own team and all know that it can be very effective on occasions. I'm not saying that he will be a pure replacement for Dawes. I'm saying that due to the forward options still being reasonably light on (until Weed matures) we will need 'others' that can perform adequately at both ends. For one reason or another, the Coaches appear to be favouring Frost over Dunn or Garland.
