  1. I really hope so because I'll be over for round 4.
  2. Parish did a fine job and will be in calculations too.
  3. Pretty sure that's what the OP is alluding to...
  4. Harsh but not far off the mark. I was only contemplating before who goes out of the team for Gus, Trac and possibly Trengove as far as midfield rotations go. We coughed up pick 2 for Dom and Salem and based on Kelly's performance today I still think we're in front but Tyson absolutely needs to improve his disposal. I'd like to think today was an off-day but I'm hardly confident.
  5. Racked up 28 touches up til 3/4 time. Just a machine that wins so much contested ball for the team and generally uses it well. I'd go as far to say that Jack will be the most pivotal player in our flag tilt.
  6. Every other team must've also been on the gear that season.
  7. Instead of ice baths (no pun intended), it'll be Nair baths.
  8. Just announced as breaking news here in Perth.... So it probably happened yesterday.
  9. How can Gus play VFL and do very well but still be left out? Maybe pulled up a little sore?
  10. Great gif. Can you walk me thru it?
  11. The twelve current players banned will become delisted free agents and it will be open slather - although I think that's already begun.
  12. Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere but can someone confirm if this needs to be finalised before round 1? If so, Michie and Wagner appear the front runners which is disappointing for young Mitch White, given the composure and AFL required attributes he showed in his brief appearance last year.
  13. Wouldn't that be a beautiful thing just after they've extended Hardwicks contract.
  14. Doing a bit of 'youtubing' last night and for some unknown reason it decided to throw up the Round 1 2013 presser with Neeld and Grimes. Good Lord I could only manage to watch the first two minutes before retching so badly it hurt. I remember going into that match full of confidence after the training reports we'd been reading but like everyone else, including Mr Neeld, I didn't see it (the result) coming. We have come such a long way since then and I reckon many Melbourne supporters, particularly us diehards, realise that massive change on the footy field is about to be witnessed.
  15. It'll be a great duel between the ruckmen and will give Gawn a fair gauge on where he's at coming up against Mummy first up. I take comfort from the improved tap-work from Gawn and if Mumford is a bit rusty then we should win the greater share of clearances and hopefully get the pill inside 50 enough to kick a winning score. As always, fingers crossed scumbag gets sat on his arse - by vanDenBerg or Viney would be nice. I'm thinking we'll get up by 3 or 4 goals. GWS will find it difficult to kick a winning score without Cameron.
  16. Given the FD experience we have at the club compared to during the periods of false dawns of history, I'm fairly optimistic that Roos would come out an say such a thing. Between himself, McCartney, Goodwin, Rawlings and at the next level having Jackson spruiking that "we will be successful," I think it's a great show of faith the coaches have in the current playing group and club in general.
  17. I was trying to find any relevance in this thread until I watched that. I'm still looking, but at least I've had a good chuckle.
  18. So back to Trenners, I hope you Melbourne based folk are going to get out to his VFL practice game against Box Hill on April 2nd. Anyone know where it'll be played? I couldn't find it.
  19. Franklin doesn't deserve top 10 based on output if that's the main kpi. He's slipped considerably in my opinion and would be around the 25 to 30 range.
  20. Holy fark, I thought you were extracting the urine and then I went googling.
  21. I think it's great the club are being 100% true to the rehab program they set out and not deviating from the length of it - and clearly I'm basing that on the noise from the club. We can only hope and trust that the professionalism of guys like Rob Jackson and Misson set the players up for consistent seasons and long careers. Still, I cannot wait for Petracca to debut.
  22. Just trying one on.
  23. It was actually reported back in 2011. Andrew was basically a rookie with not much to see on the horizon whereas David was the gun. Join the dots...
