  1. Do you reckon Roosy's [censored]-relation might've dropped $50k on the Dons when they were paying $6 for the win?
  2. I still believe that we're progressing and yesterday was a calamity of issues some of which STMJ has detailed above. The test of how far we've come will be the response from the group next week.
  3. Roos proved once again yesterday that he's not much of a match day coach. However, if that whole room of assistants are unable to hatch a plan to mitigate, change or fix problems as they arise then we're screwed.
  4. Sorry, Barrie. I'd not read this before posting.
  5. All those calling for Lumumba to be dropped will be disappointed when the team is announced. Roos rated his game yesterday as evidenced in the post match presser. I know, it doesn't make sense.
  6. Viney and Oliver were good last week.
  7. Terrific post. Roos effort was the poorest of the day in my opinion.
  8. I'm hoping we can add Goddard to the 'Jack Viney made me cry thread.'
  9. I wouldn't be surprised if Watts kicks more.
  10. Just to be sure, I bought one of each last year (3) and think they're all the grouse.
  11. She's a hottie. Still won't be enough to get me watching the crud show.
  12. It's actually on at 11.10am hardtack.
  13. [censored] the contract talk, surely this must be a big chance for his first major bag. I'm thinking 7 goals.
  14. I can't see there being too many changes. It's easier to base changes on a string of form rather than the first game of the season. It's fact that it takes some players a bit longer to get into the groove compared to others. Tyson was ordinary but we know he can play very good footy when switched on. To pull the plug on him after one performance is a bit rich just like elevating a players out of the Magoos after one solid performance. Dunn for O Mac is the only one to stand out at this stage given there's no VFL form to go off. Frost gets another chance.
  15. Cuts up the oranges for 3/4 time?
  16. I think the competition is going to roll like this until the AFL tighten up on the movement of players who simply don't want to play for one club and just happen to 'prefer' a transfer to a successful club. We complain about FA but essentially, it's just a process that doesn't necessarily need to be utilised by the players if they wish to move clubs as they just hold their current club to ransom in some instances. God help the struggling clubs if it's lessened to 6 years service and compensation is abolished. Geelong creamed it during trade period, Hawks managed to get O'Rourke for pick 19 after some development had been put into him at GWS. Sydney with Franklin and Tippet plus the academy guns in Heeney and Mills - both effectively #1 draft picks. It really wil be up to clubs and the players to commit to the journey and manage contracts according to team success as opposed to individual performance. GWS and GCS stuffed this up from the get-go by handing huge contracts to Scully and GAJ whilst the real potential is getting NEAFL games and unbalanced contracts. This why we can't sell the farm for Hogan when we've got so much talent that's going to be feeding him ball for the next decade. Hawthorn manage it, Geelong are paying PD $800k a year when he's clearly worth >$1.2m at least. Anyway, let's hope the equalisation measures actually do result in evening out the competition. That said, if we manage to win 6 flags in a row you won't hear me complaining.
  17. IIRC, all of them automatically become delisted free agents due to the suspension. There was an article a month or so ago that stated there's at least half a dozen clubs contacted Hurleys manager.
  18. Geelong will be flag favourites after today.
  19. Go on, Nasher. Do it.
  20. He did get Roos right. But yeah.
