  1. Mate, I'll eventually have to pay for it one way or another.
  2. I'm still in Papua and will change my flight on Saturday from Denpasar to Melbourne instead of heading back to Perf if Trenners is named. I'm sure the missus will get over it eventually. #9
  3. I would considering we don't have a first round pick available (at this stage).
  4. Like I said, I think the game plan would benefit by having tall timber rucks at each and every ball-up. Pedo, Frost, Dawes etc just hope they can get a hand to it and we win the clearance. Gawn has shown his worth in the fwd line already this year so if he's not resting there he's having a spell on the bench whilst the other ruck is winning the contests.
  5. I'm hoping so. He's tall enough and athletic enough. As I said in my earlier post, if his ruck craft can progress then I think he'll do well enough. The game style has changed and Jake hasn't had a shot of contributing in a game. Who knows how well he might do? Why are you only too happy to write him off?
  6. Because our game plan relies a lot on winning the centre clearance.
  7. Yes, we need a second ruck to support the clearance work all around the ground. Spencer has the height and strength, I just hope that his ruck craft is coming along now and his tap work is more creative and accurate. If we want Gawn to get through the whole year as a dominant ruckman, he will need a chop-out more regularly or we'll see more games like the Bulldogs where he wins enough ruck contests but is severely out-gunned around the ground.
  8. Lol. The Tigers will never learn. Lip stick on a pig.
  9. True, but I reckon if the Suns were flying you wouldn't hear boo out of him. He's laying the boots because they're on the canvas just about.
  10. I think Matthews coming out and saying that there should only be one team in Qld is timely. The Suns are a shambles right now and let's look at the reality that the draft concessions were there to give them a leg up so they can achieve some level of success before long - GC17. GWS may not have the supporters that GC do but they certainly have a stable development program in place. Prestia to MFC Swallow to NMFC O'Meara ? Gonna be a long slog back for the Suns.
  11. Gee those blokes are real news-breakers aren't they. Really hedging their bets. Clowns.
  12. Hogan, Watts, Weideman and Hulett are the now and future tall forwards. Why the hell they persist with Frost in the forward line when he plays seniors is mind boggling. He was drafted as a defender with the view that we were thin on stocks in that area. With both Dunn and Garland losing form at an alarming rate, I would love to know why the coaches persist with the Frost forward plan.
  13. I think they need to look at 'how' he's getting all these knocks and see if there's an aspect to his game he might be able to alter. A helmet will hardly do anything to stop concussions.
  14. I'm about to fly out to Papua so I'll be relying on this site for the game tomorrow. Dont let me down guys. Cheers
  15. Depends what you want to learn...
  16. I've admitted it was a wrong call. Worst post of the year? There's some serious contenders I need to beat.
  17. I owe an apology after searching the for and reviewing the tackle. He was pulled over and dug into the ground. 7 minutes left in the 2nd qtr it was. Fair call mate.
  18. I wish Melbourne players didn't appear on this trash show.
  19. I'm not as concerned about the forward ability of Spencer but more so the rucking advantage that we need to maintain for our much improved clearance brigade. The big body of Spencer is a much better hope than the King boys at this stage.
  20. Under some decent tutelage for once, Gawn has improved out of sight so I'm hoping/trusting that the likes of Stafford and Macca can do similar with Spencer. He played a strong game against the Cats last year in our win at KP and he's got the mongrel to go with the team ethos. I reckon Max would be over the moon with this news and he'd be hoping Spencer can begin to really impact consistently so the poor bastard can get a decent chop-out for once.
  21. I'll second that solution.
  22. I don't know whether you guys got the segment in Vic but I just watched it here in Perf. Said that his contract is not about money but rather team success, J Browns comments are no more than a little love for his fellow key forwards and Ross Lyons missus cooks a wicked lamb roast. Also, Lachie Reid who interviewed is a passionate Dee's fan who I've had the pleasure of chatting to a couple of times at functions. Apparently Hogan was sitting in cattle class (a sure sign MFC know he's going) but Lachie pulled some strings (ch10 budget strings I'd say) and managed to get Hoges upgraded to Business class. Oh, almost forgot... He also donated some bone to Nat Fyfes leg injury.
  23. It's proabaly a little revisionist of me, but if I was the journo interviewing Kent, I'd ask for clarification on those remarks. If not then, definitely before it was put to print and published.
  24. Okay, Emma.
