  1. We are building a structure and game style that will win premierships. We are very much the new sydney swans. A chess like game plan, building with strength up the ground. I liked it alot. Remeber, if we capitalized on our opportunites we would have won. Also, add the injuries to Fitzpatrick, Mcdonald and Howe, and you cant be too dissapointed. I am looking forward to the season. Bring on HOGAN!!!!!
  2. B- Dunn, Frawley, Terlich HB- Grimes, Pederson, Georgiou C- Trengove, Watts, Howe HF- Blease, Fitzpatrick, Vince FF- Toumpas, Gawn, Byrnes Fol- Spencer, Tyson, Jones int- McKenzie, Cross, M.Jones, sub- Mitchie ins- Gawn, McKenzie, Blease outs- McDonald (inj), JKH, Bail
  3. Toumpas - Will end up being a goal sneak. A very good one. Loves the limelight and is a show pony. lots of class, limited grunt. I would play him in the forward pocket this year. Jones - Champion Watts - Star quality. Way better the nic nat. Dunn - Captain Dunn Tyson - Impressive debut Vince - Star quality. Could have kicked 5 goals. Spenser - Good in the ruck contest. needs to get smarter in reading the play around the ground. Matt Jones - solid game Bail - must do more Howe - was playing injured Mcdonald - Good until injured Fitzpatrick - wtf happened? Byrnes - little lepricorn played well Terlich - average game. Dogged Geiorgiou - will hold his spot until Garland returns Mitchie - Some good signs, otherwise, workman like Cross - below average, workmanlike JKH - not ready yet, Blease will take his spot next week Pederson - if he kicked those goals, a good game. Frawley - A solid game Grimes - A solid game. Eclipsed enormously by Dunn
  4. I think it was a fairly good display of football, consideringhte injuries to our key forwards and backs. We were thinking our way thru the game, albeit a few turnovers, and you can see the structure and style of football Roos wants us to play. the game style is a bit like chess, however, we really need a key forward to cp it all off and give us some strong direction. Overall, even tho we lost, I am fairly upbeat about things and am looking forward to round2.

  6. Maybe he should relenquish all his money and go to a 3rd world country and get a real perspective about pain, sorrow and destitution. Is he a man or still a boy? Maybe he is in transition? If so, good luck to him, I hope he can play footy for MFC again.

  8. but it does bother collingwood and the bombers. arguably very proud clubs that will not compromise their colors.
  9. acknoledged as the man who led us to rock bottom. who broke our foundation who led us to our biggest defeat at home who had a terrible game plan, absolutlely pathetic. who blamed everyone but himself who recruited duds who made us a charity case. yes, he must be ackowledged. i bet you he is one person that will never show his face around mfc again. let it go paulrb. your just making yourself look foolish
  10. Neeld was the biggest mistake this club has made in my lifetime. He was akin to a bomb, that almost extinguished the spirit of the club. He sacked good players and recruited spuds. He could not coach, actually probably one of the worst appointments of all time. This was recognized by Jackson. He turned our club into a joke, an actual impedament to the league. What an absolutely disgraceful tenure, of the likes I hope to never witness again. He was arrogant, delusional and completely in a fantasy land. My god he was terrible. Neeld is a spud of the highest order. Even his first speech was mildly retarded. He did not engage with the players, could not deliver messages, did not lead the players on the track, he injected only defensive paralysis. What an absolute disgraceful period of the MFC. Definetly the lowest point in this clubs history. Lyon, selecting Bailey and then Neeld, supporters swallowing it all up. A case of the blind leading the blind. A truly sad situation. Lucky for the AFL support, if not, our blind supporters and hierarchy would have led us marching over cliff to our doom. Absolutely incompetant. my god. Mark Neeld rocked our club to its foundations. He nearly put out my flame, the whole club, especially the hierarchy was delusional. And Neeld had the gaul to blame the players. Not only was he a fraud, but he was a coward, an arrogant, delusional, dimwitted coward at that. terrible terrible terrible. The scars will never leave me. I would be surprised if the players arnt scared for life aswell. Roos has his work cut out.
  11. Neeld is an a-grade spud. he should not have got rid the following players; Bennell - we would love his speed right now under roos Green - should not have been pushed out when we lacked so much experience moloney - neeld should have worked with him. an a-grade grunt player. rivers - if he can slot in Geelong, it says something pettered - has talent and he should have worked closer with jurrah, not pushed him away. then, he picked up spuds, much like himself; gillies sellar byrnes Tom Couch David Rodan- finished Nathan Stark Rory Taggert Josh Tynan the only positive that came out of hiring neeld, is that we learnt never to let Garry Lyon make important decisions. And Neeld was the final chapter of the MFC truly bottoming out. Like a horrific bushfire that destroyed the establishment, ready for new foundations. Thankyou Demitriou, P.Jackson, Roos and T.Viney. What a disgraceful tenure. And 95percent of you supporter fell for the bs, hook line and sinker. Terrible terrible terrible.
  12. it dosnt help when you run out in a ridiculous jumper. ever heard of playing for the jumper? lets get some symbolic stability.

  14. ever since we started with white/grey jumpers, we have been a failure. we are red and blue. anything else represents compromise and failure. if we have to have an away jumper, can we please use the light blue jumper of the 70's and 80's. At least is contains 'some' elements of heritage and strength. white jumpers make me think im following a different club. western bulldogs or some other compromised club. we have been here since 1858. we are red and blue, as the song says.
  15. Watts - the new Architect. Toumpas - Lets see what he can do. Hogan - I think with his running ability, he will be utilized at CHF. Did you say 3 players? Fcuk it. Clark - Could he kick 100? Tyson - Who is he and what can he do? Gawn - He has the number 1 ruckman written all over him. A cult figure. Salem - Our next Yze? JKH - what a great pickup. Howe - He could be anything. Trengove - We know what he can do, now its time to do it, again. Now that we have removed the baggage of Neeld, I believe we have one of the most exciting lists in the AFL.
  16. Now that our midfield has been strengthened, and we have a proper coach, why shouldnt we be aiming for finals? This side has been selected under the presumtion that Roos allows the players to reach their potential. FB: Tapscott, Frawley, Garland HB: Grimes, McDonald, Terlich C: Toumpas, Viney, Howe HF: Vince®, Dawes, Trengove® FF: Hogan, Clarke, Blease® Fol: Gawn, Jones, Watts int: Salem®, Tyson®, McKenzie®, sub: M.Jones ® - rotating thru midfield emg: Dunn, Mitchie, Fitzpatrick, Kent, Kennedy-Harris, Clisby, Jamar Now, thats a bloody good team. We should definetly be aiming for finals. After 6 long years, I am finally happy to support MFC again. PS, Todd Viney is the Godfather of the MFC. He is the real saviour.
  17. How can cavarra, captain of eastern rangers, winner of the morrish medal, not be drafted? If gws don't pick him as a rookie, we should! He is stocky, cunning, classy and a leader.
