Hang on - meaningless does not mean unenjoyable. The games that do not involve Melbourne do not hold amy meaning for me. I enjoy watching footy - but most games have no impact on my life. Melbourne games do. Is that so hard to understand?

Mate, I've been watching other teams win flags since 1965. I've been lucky enough to see us win 4. But for almost 50 years it's been other teams winning them. I watch 9 AFL games a week, but only one has any meaning for me - the rest are thus meaningless. But by all means - you go ahead and enjoy them.

As I reported this time last year - he is over the personal issues that were stuffing up his life, and only needs fitness and confidence to find his form once again, It might take a little time, but I reckon he will end up as a Dyer good ordinary footballer - a good 3rd tall forward. He turns 24 in a week and has only played 37 games, and for a bloke who's 196cm tall - he could well be worth the wait. I hope so.
