I haven't been on demonland for that long but was the same said about Russian that is being said about Spencer now? He isn't up to it now but bloody hell give him a chance. What if cook played and stunk it up? I imagine the pre first game love we have for him would have us all saying give him a chance.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JACK VINEY
cowboy_from_hell replied to einstein251's topic in Melbourne Demons
If we take him at 3 there will be speculation that we caved under pressure from other teams and we just took him at 3 even though there may have been a better player at 3. If another club takes him there will be a lot more speculation that we look stupid and can't even pick up a father son who's father works at the club as well. If we get Jack with a second round pick then it's all gravy baby but if we can't I say just get him! If he is a top ten draft pick just get him! -
Eddie should know that players have to want to leave their club so all the free cash from cloke leaving doesn't automatically get you players. I'm sure out west they are packing their dacks right now that eddie has gobbed off again.

Is he hooking up with Gary ablett?
-
I wonder how much Brock Mclean going public with his disease has affected the players. It must be hard to concentrate on footy with Brock coming out about his condition. Hope you get well Brock. Fight the good fight.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JACK VINEY

We only have ourselves to blame when it comes to Jack Viney. Maybe if we can win some more games this won't be an issue. Plus he has to come to the MFC I told my mum he will be playing for us next year and I don't want to lie to my mummy! -
I think the potential of Jurrah if fit and free is limitless.

If Only Ricky P had some/any form. Talk about a nose dive season for ricky he could of played Full forward whilst he is no Mitch clarke he could of given us something up forward. To ricky's form: WHERE THE BLOODY HELL ARE YOU?

I know it's a big if but if he does get off it's all gravy baby!

So as is customary at this time of year it's time to talk about next year. As we have all been discussing Cloke,Boak,Viney,Stringer and any man and his dog who wants to be a dee I pondered what 2013 would be like and I have been wanting us to get Cloke but now that he will announce on the Footy show tonight that he will stay filthy for another 4 years I wondered what our forward line would look like and I forgot about Liam Jurrah. We don't need another forward to poach/recruit. Maybe a crumbing forward but we have our two main men it just so happens that both won't see much action for the rest of this year. I forgot that Jurrah kicked 40 goals 26 behinds last year in pretty ordinary team at times. If he can get his Scheiße together next year he and Mitch who would have kicked 40-50 goals this year will whoop ass in 2013. Get Mids mids mids in the draft and maybe Boak and we could actually win some games next year.

Agree pick 12 not 4. I know our recruiting has been poor to say the least but if you throw a crap load of darts at a dartboard eventually you will hit the bullseye. (I hope)
-
I'd move him forward when he stops whooping ass in the backline.

The MFC has made me become a realist. I only believe what I see when I see it. Don't get me wrong I like what I see from a fair few lads but as I said I'll truly believe when I see.

I do have a spare foot size 13 and a half. Selfishly one foot may get me out of mowing lawns before going to the G and my wife can't nag me to do it. With Mitch back to win the coleman and me not doing the tyrants list before my journey to the G it's win win!

Happy days -
We can't have Russian ruck one out all day. Martin In. Tapscott In. I wasn't sold on Davey Out and Clarke (inj) Out.
-
It's not as simple as cook or martin. Cook can't play as a second ruckman and Stef isn't much of a key forward. If Sellar has to pinch hit in the ruck it takes him away from the key forward he is on. Seller is growing on me but just down back not around the ground. IF gawn was good you could argue to bring cook in but we are down to one ruck. Play cook lose a second ruckman play stef lose a key forward.

As we are all gutted I decided to take a breath relax and post my logical thoughts that are full of common sense so here goes. THIS IS ALL BLOODY SCULLY'S FAULT! If he could have gotten a bloody kick the ball wouldn't have been near mitch and he would have kicked at least 10 on the weekend and would be lining up for us next week but NO Scully is an over priced Hack! Secondly does anyone know Mitch's blood type? I am willing to cut my foot off and donate it to Mitch and the MFC. We are boosting our footy department so if I can't send him my foot I'm sure the MFC has made some spare ones out of Pig DNA a bit like the scientist off south park did. If he can't come back with my foot or a new one i'm sure we can find other avenues at goal for the rest of the year. We will Cook something up.

Have a nice flight back to Blacktown Tom ...

My brother recently jumped on the Dee's bandwagon he isn't really in to footy but he is a signed up and paid for Redleg member so god on him but he did ask me today at the game which player was Scully before the bounce so I pointed him out and he said to me after the game he would have thought a 6 Million dollar player would be a Buddy,Judd or Ablett and he said all Scully is good for is a couple of handballs. After playing footy for 20 years and watching the Dee's for about the same time my Brother who basically knows bugger all said it best. -
My thoughts: I love Tom Mcdonald Seriously towled up Patton and ran off his man all day and got plenty of touches and it shows his confidence is building. We all think Mitch bleeds red and blue and I'm worried we will see what colour his spine is one day too. I nearly jumped out of my seat to give him CPR. Russian foot must be sore as he got more kicks today then every other game for the year. To me Davey still looks cooked. Tom scully is a [censored] chant was gold today!

Nah jim I can't agree he should be our Prime minister!
-
I agree. God we always bang on here we need some outside mids and Blease will be one of them if he can get regular games. For some reason Blease isn't gifted games like Morton can be on occasion as well as davey. The argument would be that against a young team bring in the experience of Davey and because it's wet don't have too many light bodies in the one side. But I would prefer Blease over Davey.

After reading the last two interviews that J.RIv has done I think he is one player who gets what they have to do as a team and I hope the rest get it by now. -
this is an honest question. Would having Cloke, my man crush Mitch and a fit and firing Jurrah be too much? Who would play more of a CHF and who would be Full Forward? Cloke is a beast and can tear any opponent apart one on one and Mitch has speed and a great leap and is a better kick for goal. Jurrah can leap tall buildings and when fit is dangerous on the run and can kick goals anywhere. I can see Howe as a midfield/wingman he is getting more and more touches around the ground. SO who plays where if Cloke becomes a Demon? EDIT: Sorry to the OP i didn't answer your question I'd take Boak because we need a midfielder who can kick some goals.
