It would have been nice to have Jesse Hogan doing some work experience as security at the big day out. We could have sent tickets to Mclean as a late xmas gift.

In terms of Dawes. Someone has to get a higher pay. We need to pay a certain percentage in the cap. If we paid our players on their merits there would only be a handful who deserve their coin and we would be way under the cap. Yes it's overs we paid for Dawes but that is what we had to do. No one will come to us for any other oppurtunity other then dollars at the moment. Hopefully that changes in time.

I had the train ride home and I had just convinced/brainwashed some family members to jump on the dee's bandwagon. They were trying to console me. They thought we were going to be a good team in 2012 even after round 1. I gave them a serve and the "I have put up with this crap for way too long" speech. We all know that speech don't we?
-
Round 1 2012 haunts me and will for a long time. I thought we would be up for the game with all the motivation needed and the fact we were playing Brisbane at the G. That one hurt a lot. Probably because it was made crystal clear that we suck. I fear for my mental health if we go down to port round 1. I have children MFC and a wife who all need my pay cheque. For the love of god get it done.

Fitzy has a lot of upside to him. He will demand a tall back men to man him up but Fitz is very quick for his size. If he can be fit he could be a mobile lead up target and take a small amount of ruck duties. I expect Fitz to play in the first half of the year.

I see Frank Gore got fined $10,500 for wearing his socks too low. Golden boy Brady got fined $10,000 for spiking Ed Reed's leg. The yanks are so very odd at times.

I love a good list. This just off the top of my head with no stats to back up my claims. Coach of the year: Bruce Arians. In a tough time he takes over the Colts and his coaching record was 9-3 before chuck came back. He deserves his head coaching gig. Running back: AP duh! QB: Could pick Manning but no playoff win and a good record but in a crap division. Toss up between Flacco and Brady. WR: Megatron. Anyone who breaks a Jerry Rice record is a superstar. Defense. J.J Watt. A sack machine. Special mention to the Chicago bears in their first 7 games. That defense looked damn good. Worst team: New York Jets! They stink. They know how to dismantle a team and their confidence. Yes they had injuries but the Tebow saga, Sanchez Butt fumble, No TD's in preseason and constant losses when they and others thought they had a playoof team. Somehow they bring bad things upon themselves. MVP: AP all day everyday. (Bias I know.) Funniest moment: Either sanchez butt fumble or the Fail Mary play. Both made me cringe and laugh at the same time. Biggest play of the year: This would have to go to Alex Smith. He gets concussed and cometh the hour for the Kap. It sucks for Smith but Harbaugh looks like a genius and the niners have one hand on the trophy. I wonder what would have happened if the Kap got benched when Smith was declared healthy? Great move by Harbaugh.

How big was that hit on Ridley? It was funny seeing Flacco run with the ball. He and Brady should have a running race for charity with Darren Lehman. Hard to believe that nearly 3/4 through the season the raven fired their Offensive Coordinator. They looked lost at times this season. But form at the right times means everything. Not shocked Atlanta lost. They had a very good team lining up against them but the question needs to be asked. 1-4 is the record they own in recent playoffs. Do changes need to be made? Macca is spot on it is the Harbaugh bowl. It and Ray Lewis will be the be all and end all of attention for 2 weeks. Maybe the Kap gets a mention somewhere.

The review on blitz didn't bother so much as the comments that we should fold and we are a waste of time. You are spot on they are arrogant knobs. I enjoy watching watson and fletcher play but apart from that they can get knicked. I love seeing bomber fans walk out of OUR home ground whilst the game is still on.
-
Or the weapon is in charge for the week of training. He will soften them up.
-
Well maybe their mid season collapse starts early this year.
-
So would I and everyone else.
-
What should we hang our hats on at the moment? I'll stick to the positives we have. We bend the bombers over every year.
-
My bomber review. Jetta= A diving disgrace. Should be ashamed of himself but represents the bombers in true fashion. Goddard= Overpriced loose half back flank. Hurley= Over hyped at this stage. Could be good but can't kick straight. Watson= Outright superstar. Hird= Golden boy. Can he actually coach? Davey= Loves to go missing when needed. Stanton= Crumbles under pressure. Can't help watson out. Fletcher= A champion. Ryder= I'd take Spencer this year to smash him all over the ground. SUPPORTERS= You leave at half time when your team is down by a goal. Disgrace. You win some games in a row and act like Jennifer Hawkins just asked you for a quickie. Your away jumper looks like aids on silk. http://youtu.be/uiB_w8Z8NuI

Pates you did a fantastic job mate you should be proud of your efforts mate. One reason I loved it was we don't see enough of this stuff out there. I'm sure there are many ESPN 30 for 30 fans in here who would agree there are so many stories that should be told involving our great game. In depth stories covering war time footy, VFL to AFL, Indeginous players, Fitzroy, Big Jim and other Irish players and so on. The history of the game can be lost so easily. How many kids know about these stories these days?

Such a weird story. If he did make it all up he is a strange one that's for sure. He released a statement saying he had met the girl online and was duped. Very hard to believe.

I wish I got paid to make up sh!t.

There wasn't much beast mode today. Seattle had chances to score in the first half but couldn't. Wilson is a fighter though he never gave up. I can't see Atlanta getting close to the 49ers next week.
-
The falcons can consider themselves a little bit lucky to have won. Their second half was very ordinary and if Seattle could have managed the clock better before half time they would of had a field goal before the half. Instead they had 0 points. 49ers take out Atlanta easily next week.
-
Hold your breathe Atlanta here they come.

Smith is a logical choice for any team needing a starter. His only downfall is he doesn't have a deep arm like the Kap. That is why the move was made at the 49ers even when smith was declared healthy. When Ponder was struggling I wanted Smith because he will move the ball downfield with long drives and with AP by his side it would be dangerous. Smith could fit in at the Chiefs with Charles running game. I don't tink Vick has much left in the tank but someone will take him.
-
Peyton could get the broncs a ring but it will have to be soon. I'm sure Elway knows this. If AP says he can 2,500 yards who am I to disagree. He could claim to do that and win a brownlow in the red and blue this year and I wouldn't doubt him. Tebow may end up in the CFL if nothing comes his way. The Jags have said no and I don't know what other teams are looking for a QB. You would think he wants a starting job because being a backup was a disaster for him and the Jets. If everyone had to pay a tax of $1 to have the right to comment or talk about Tebow world hunger would be cured ten times over. The Pats should win easily. The Texans D will fight all day but Schaub can't go toe to toe with Brady. He couldn't at home against Ponder so Brady will do what he did to them in the regular season.

Good weekend of games That's for sure. Bad luck to green bay but they were outplayed and they just couldnt stop the Kap. That 49ers O line is pretty damn good. I love watching flacco play. He loves a deep throw and is fun to watch. A good win but you would think the patriots await them and that's tough. If I was a bronco's fan I would be a little worried about Peyton. He is a gun but when Favre came to my vikes it was the same situation. Favre got us within a inch of a Super Bowl but once he was finally finished we were left with nothing. We had no cap space and because we got close we had no good draft picks either. If Elway can get a succession plan in order they should be ok. Elway has done an amazing job.

Melbourne Family Day - 23 February, 2013

Luna park is alright. My kids love it every year. It does get a bit boring for some adults when we are waiting the team presentation but all the players are easily accessible and are up for a chat. -
I meet a stupid patriots fan tonight at crown towers. I was wearing my Vikings jeresey and he came out of nowhere with his 19-0 patriots t-shirt on to tell me the Vikings suck. I politely told him the broncos with tebow could take out new England. I don't really believe that but go broncos. What a [censored].
