I read some posts from a selected few who are beating the drums about our coach already. That is your opinion so I must respect it but I do not agree at all. This is a worst case scenario thread where IF we do show no improvement at all I would like the drum beaters to give me a logical replacement and what type of gameplan compared to Neeld's you would like to see. Don't just say let's fire him. Show me a replacement and be proactive in a post. I have never thought about not renewing a membership but if Neeld was to be let go I would strongly consider not signing myself and my kids next year. Jesse Hogan may have something to say about it though. I could not see the point of hiring a coach and giving him the green light to cull a list and start from scratch but then fire the coach. This would leave us in a worse position then we were in after Bailey.

I go into every year feeling a bit uneasy. I have made a pledge to myself not to get worked up too much from footy. Last year I found myself being shitty for days after we would get smashed. I thought we were on the improve last year and expected more. So this year I am just going to the G and expecting nothing. No expectations= No dissapointment. I am going to try to enjoy going to the footy again. If it all goes to hell I will look forward to the NFL season.

I'm pretty sure I was told on here that Beamer was asked to slim down last off season to find more fitness and agility. He obviously didn't last year but suprise suprise he looks trim and fit up at Brisbane. I won't hold any grudge against the MFC for giving Beamer the boot even if he wins the brownlow with the Lions. He hasn't found form up North he has found the required attitude that he didn't have last year with us.

At least with free agency we can now pay overs for quality players and meet the 95 percent instead of having a dud list and still paying 95 percent. If our fringe players don't show anything this year Neeld can bring out his trusty axe and cull away again whilst offering plenty of dollars for someone who can play footy.

Agree. I have been a bit suspicious as to why there hasnt been article after article about the bombers but as I have said and so have you it is an ASADA investigation they don't leak and they don't care what club or Player it is l. If found guilty they will feel the wrath.

Could JT and Mitch both be fit enough for Round 1? Mitch will have no fitness base and JT won't have enough to play as a mid for the whole game. I hope they play but I hope they are fit and firing first.

The dogs saints lions and north are teams I will use as a benchmark for this list. If we can get some wins against these teams I think we can grow with this list. If not I guess it's culling time again.

Both drafted as inside mids with a hunger for contested footy. Both have good skills and endurance. One is Ollie wines the other has trained with a AFL club for 12 months and played VFL footy who is also the son of a champion. Hmmmm I wonder who I would pick?

I don't mind it. What's the worst that could happen? We get a sponsor out of it. Wouldn't that suck. There may be a business who didn't know that a prestigious AFL club was searching for another sponsor. We on demonland know we are but a business may have seen webjet and Opel plastered all over us and thought we have enough sponsors.
