Yeah not sure if our list of receivers are that great that we could afford a potential type receiver. We got Jennings but we needed a ready to go receiver for this year. Jarius Wright had a good end to the year but Jerome Simpson is no megatron so we will see. A bit of talk about Urlacher coming to the VIkes for a year. Not so sure about that. We still need a MLB unless they move a few linebackers around. Poor Geno Smith. He is walking into a QB sh!tstorm. Don't know much about Jones. All the draft picks are being written up as the next Jesse Hogan so it is hard to tell if the draft is a success. They stopped the press conference and bolted out to try and get the deal done. The draft looks like a lot of fun and bloody hectic. In terms of who we picked up we ticked the boxes required but Sharrif Floyd a DT at pick 23 looks to be the best pick up.

Didn't Washington get Alfred Morris in the 6th round last year? There are always quality RB's out there and they come cheap in the draft.

Yeah we traded out a lot but we desperately needed a WR. 3 First round picks sounds pretty good but we need to snag a linebacker and I honestly thought pick 29 from the Pats would have been used on Te'o. A DT that at one point was talked up as a top 10 pick. Plus a physical Corner back and a Wide receiver second to Austin sounds good on paper.

Davey is an interesting one. If we win the clearances and can get quality inside 50's Davey will play a good game as a crumbing forward and we will all be happy. If we get smashed in the middle and chip around the boundary from the backline then Davey is useless. If we start well and Davey is the sub it could hurt us. If Davey starts on the ground and we can't get a clearance having Davey down forward instead of Rodan (if he is the sub) getting inside clearances could hurt us. All in all I think it is Jack Watts fault.

Big move by the rams they acquired pick 8 and got WR Tavon Austin. Raiders give away pick 3 to Miami for 12 and 42. Raiders must have the same amount of confidence in their recruiting department as Melbourne does.

Mitch wasn't great but if our mids had honored his leads in the first half instead of trying to kick goals on the run he could of had a handful of goals in the first half. Mitch gave N.jones a fair spray on one occasion when jones went for goal and shanked it instead of a 20 meter kick to Mitch. To win this game with a smaller forward line we need to win the clearances convincingly. We can't be stuck in our back half and then play the boundary and hope that Howe takes 20 contested marks in a game.

Doggies have the fact that they are in rebuild mode for the first time not the 100th time like us on their side. Tigers received the the heat over the last decade because of their constant rebuilds and so have we.

Pretty sure he stuffed up a kick around half forward but kept running with GWS players all over him and he tackled and kept going for the ball again and eventually held it up in the forward line. Neeld's around the boundary gameplan relies on big mobile players taking contested marks. If Neeld can survive the year he will have Hogan,Gawn,Clark,Dawes as well as Howe taking contested marks. We may have something brewing here.

Even if Gawn loses a tap out he is there at ground level to contest. We still have massive problems in our clearance work though. It's our Achilles heel.

Jamar was still poor but played his best game with Gawn in the side. Maybe the Russian cannot run out a game by himself. We need to play two ruckmen every week.

Mitch was in Phil Davis's ear and giving him a bit of a push it was right near me and the only thing I can think of was that they thought Mitch was pushing Davis out of the play. They were near the point post and both were not near the play. Dumb,stupid and severely retarded are words to describe that decision.

When we have gawn and Clark playing forward we need to cut out the handballs and kick it high and deep. This gets byrnes and davey involved at ground level as well.
