Yep it is a hard ask to keep my kids interested in melbourne. Hell I find it hard to keep interest. I sign myself and my kids up every year and won't stop no matter what but I gotta be honest I have gone from anger to sadness and now to nothing. I'm very bored of the club at the moment.

TAB has odds at $1.01 that Neeld will tell the press after we lose that we had a lot of scoring shots and Carlton double our number of average games.

My signatures moves got old and I held onto them for too long. So I tried to "rebuild" my effort about 7 years ago. It didn't work out so i'm rebuilding again and after my efforts she is shattered but I try to explain to her that my moves our very young and haven't got much experience compared to others. She is getting real sick of hearing those excuses.

Caught up with a mate who is a blues supporter yesterday. He said what I'm sure we have all heard "as long as you guys have a crack and put in for 4 quarters" I'm so god damn sick of hearing that. It's not junior fricken footy it's the bloody AFL. I want to WIN games. Effort is a minimum standard at this level. Leave the "just have a go" attitude to me in the bedroom with my wife.

Afl site says we are number 1 for contested marks in the league with 70 as well.

If geno starts and gets eaten alive they go back to Sanchez who would have no confidence at all and he seems to be a confidence type player. Gee The jets bring great entertainment value to the league.

Our clearance work is our number one priority. We need contested ball winners that can help develop players like toumpass. I think blease is a forward. He kicked 5 against the saints last year and I think he is wasted down back. He could be our new crumbling forward. We have the tall talent in Clarke hogan Dawes and gawn with backups in spencer and Fitzpatrick. Some teams have no quality talls so it's mids all the way in the draft. Howe could be a lead up forward with his mark and kicking skills he could deliver the ball well into our forward line. Mckenzie was a quality tagger and was doing that well under bailey. Forget winning your own ball jordie just shut down your opponent.

BREAKING NEWS Mitch is fine. His injury is not as bad as first thought but he is a bit shorter looks younger has had his tatts removed and for some reason his team mates have nicknamed him 'Jesse' he will line up at full forward this week. -
For those talking about magner on the rookie list I believe Evans and nicho were both guaranteed spots on our senior list and it was out of neeld's hands. I don't see how rivers leaving is neeld's fault. A superb club offers rivers a chance and he took it.

A lot of great games of footy are being missed by me mainly due to being envious of most clubs who turn things around and win some games. I hate Port Adelaide at the moment because they are winning. You are right the NFL is open for any team to rise and fall. Miami could come out of nowhere this year or could fall on their ass. Same for my VIkings. If Melbourne had a season like the Vikings we would all expect/hope for at least a preliminary final and if we didn't us and the media would call it a fail. There is a fair chance the Vikes won't make the playoffs being in the NFC north. Add superbowl champs not making the playoffs the next year and it makes for a great league. Can't wait for one season to end and another to start.

As do I. I don't really hate any teams so I look forward to a lot of games unlike AFL where Melbourne can suck the life out of me.

We all hope and pray for a messiah to come our way because we have sucked for so long. Watts,viney and hogan have all been talked up as gods who will strike fear into the competition. We are desperate for a champion to drag us out of hell. I wish we could talk about how a new player fits into our team structures and will contribute whilst developing but it's very difficult to do that in a very ordinary team.

If watts can take the third best defender then he should play well up forward. It won't matter with our putrid midfield though -
Letting Beamer go was a mistake but ANY good clearance player will dominate against us. We are pathetic in the middle and make average players look good when they rack up clearance after clearance.
