Jetta will come in. He should of been in last week and has now had a week off for nothing. If Dunn is to be kept a tagger it certainly can't be at AFL level. But if they do drop him it shows how dumb our ideas men have become. Dunn has showed form down back but to then change him to a tagger and then drop him would confuse and frustrate the hell out of him. Sellar is a backmen and not a bad one on the taller forwards. He should take Vickery if he plays. Will Magner be elevated this week? I hope so. Play dunn down back doing Watts's role. Play Watts forward he should get the second or third defender with Gawn and Dawes down there. T.Mac is out for two weeks please no Gilles. Hope will be sold to me only on the ground. I have heard it all before but haven't seen anything on the field. Our next coach can be a deaf mute for all I care. Get it done on the field and we will all have hope.

Vikings have released images of the plans for the new stadium. It has a glass ceiling. If it collapses like the metrodome did it could bloody hurt. I don't know why they didn't make it a open stadium. I've seen the old days before the metrodome where players said it is nigh impossible for opposition players to get used to Minnesota conditions.

Harry Taylor out of contract.
cowboy_from_hell replied to Bombay Airconditioning's topic in Melbourne Demons
Why on Earth would he want to leave paradise to enter a mental institution? No player with such form and prestige will come to our club. I'm not trying to be negative but I am a realist. We are as attractive as a conversation with Brynne Edelsten. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BILLY STRETCH
cowboy_from_hell replied to e25's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'm sure we will develop him into a fumbling, unfit and confused football player. -
I am now counting down with big red x's on my calender until the start of the new NFL season...Man this sucks... The NFL should sponsor the MFC. Our club is turning us towards other sports in droves.

How much more can you take as a supporter?
cowboy_from_hell replied to Mongrel Dee's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'll never walk away from the club but as others have stated the emotional attachment to the club is fading in me. I sign up myself my two kids who don't care about footy and my mother who was a bombers supporter. My wife is in to me why I am flushing so much coin down the dunny. I didn't go on Sunday and I watched and then switched off and felt nothing. It didn't bother me in the slightest. It was as if I watched two teams I don't care about play. The only time I have really enjoyed being a MFC member was when I took my daughter to her first game and we smashed Sydney. -
Half Time address from Peter Jackson Yesterday
cowboy_from_hell replied to Slartibartfast's topic in Melbourne Demons
From the sound of things nearly everything involved with the MFC is stuffed. From the footy department to the board. I worry that everyone wants everyone replaced and the quality of the replacements may be overlooked because we want heads to roll now. The best thing to do is seek the AFL's help on finding a new president and board and I hope Don is speaking to them. At the moment Elmo could get enough support to be president with Big bird as the coach. -
Do you THINK Neeld will get the axe this week?
cowboy_from_hell replied to Curry & Beer's topic in Melbourne Demons
I can't see how sacking neeld would make our on field performance worse. Another month month of the neeld gameplan could see the lowest crowds possible and our flame extinguished. -
He should of been approached when Neeld began his career with us. We desperately need the experience of someone like Ayres in the coaching group.
-
Yeah I'm done with Neeld. Seeing the suns coast through the middle of the ground with such ease made me sick. I have defended Neeld and asked for time but we have none to give.

Who should be the new football manager?

Wallace has worked well with clubs with limited resources he wouldn't be the worst option. -
INTO DARKNESS: THE BOULEVARD OF BROKEN DREAMS
cowboy_from_hell replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Mckenzie is a tagger and not a bad one at that. So why in hell is he being played in the midfield as a ball winner? He can't get the footy and he can't kick it. Should only tag. Dunn showed some form down back before injury. He trained down back all pre season. Neeld then decides to make him a tagger on one of the best players of all time. Yeah that will work. Dunn and Mckenzie in the midfield made me want to take a blowtorch to my eyes. -
INTO DARKNESS: THE BOULEVARD OF BROKEN DREAMS

couldn't be happier to not be in the country next week. -
How much grog do you need to consume before you think Mckenzie is a AFL midfielder? Ask the MFC they are obviously on the grog.
-
Thank god I'm going to Bali next week. I won't miss this sh!t heap of a team.
-
Everyone and everything can go and get [censored]. This is beyond pathetic.
-
Playing dunn as a tagger and Mckenzie our old tagger in the midfield is bloody dumb. Mckenzie is not a outright mid he is a tagger or a VFL player. We look so slow.
-
The dominance of some clubs and at the other end the pathetic effort of some other clubs (ours included) make the standard of this competition very ordinary and hard to watch. There are more "I don't give a toss" games then ever before. There were just over 5000 at the GWS game. Instead of wiping out all clubs debt which would of kept ALL clubs on a level playing field with their respective funds going into football departments the AFL chose to compromise the draft and existing clubs chances of finding finals success for two new clubs. Now we have blowouts, low crowds and a lower interest in all games. Well done Vlad.
-
Totally agree. We are no different from other clubs in that we have a ton of potential members and new supporters who will come to the fold when/if we resemble a football team that could win any game. Christ if port can do it we certainly can.
-
I would love to not worry about the club. Just heard our CEO say we will have over a million dollar loss this year. There's some worries. On the field we suck. More worries.

Wonder what PAUL ROOS is up to these days???
cowboy_from_hell replied to Pata's topic in Melbourne Demons
I would feel for neeld if he was given the ass for Roos with some help from the AFL as in time I think neeld could produce a lot of wins and considering how far back we are in terms of fitness and talent it has been bloody tough for neeld. But I want wins and as much as I dislike the AFL head office sometimes I'd be happy to swallow some pride and let them help us get a premiership coach. -
Something that bugs me is our using the boundary gameplan. We kick to a contested marking contest and if we don't turn it over we play for a throw in or ball up. We our terrible at clearances! We play into the oppositions hands by creating stoppages. The gameplan might be good but we don't have the cattle for it. We can run and carry we all know it but we are smothering our best runners with stoppage play.

Any player who wins there own footy should be drafted. If we were a good team we could look at outside mids with exceptional skills but as we have all seen we can't get the footy.
