Right now he's on the road to reappoint. 10 wins will be enough, 12 and finals will guarantee it.

Yeah, plus the nine-hour day. Mum's party means I'm actually bloody working more - I'm doing the bar at that too. I was kindly 'volunteered' for that duty. I'll see. Probably will get stuck running errands.

Rumour, Libba and Wallis for Scully is what they're putting together!!!! I heard it from a Bulldogs person's dog's trainer, and also from Scully's father's second cousin's wife's sister.
-
Related topic, just successfully trolled Budda Bing on bigfooty so hard he actually thinks I'm an alias. Funny, because I actually only made the account 2 days ago.

Lot of them are up next year. Watts too IIRC. Big thing with Trenners is Tappy though. Means his whole journey to MFC has been that much better. Best mates playing footy together, the families are great friends, etc. I reckon Scully this year is an easier target.
-
I reckon both of them are primed to be traded for GWS for one of the 17-year-old picks.
-
Or having McKenzie playing. Jeez we missed him.

Contract, schmontract, if the club agree to a trade or deal with another club and the player agrees to another contract the contract can be terminated. Just like soccer really, half the transfers for those exorberant fees are for players under contract. The ones that AREN'T contracted are the ones that go for free.

What? Bate and Dunn have both had far, far longer than Watts. Bate takes far too long to get going, he can't translate VFL form to the AFL. Generally takes him a month or so, compare to Howe's near-instant impact. Dunn has had one fairly good season last year, but has been absolutely godawful this year. If/when he gets a senior recall, he will have to grab it by the throat or else his chance at the MFC is gone. The reason both of these players are up is that they are both 24 and thus at a prime stage to be trade bait. A 24 year old leading forward with some muscle on him? I can think of a half dozen clubs who'd go for him as a trade. Not to mention GWS - trade Dunn to GWS for the 17 year old, free up the cap space and use the pick to grab JV a year early. Then you get Dunn's wages and use 'em on Scully.

Tony Shaw is far and away the worst AFL media personality. Has no general sports knowledge. His AFL knowledge is limited and provides absolutely no insight. Even with Collingwood he struggles, honestly. My dream team: Rex Hunt/Dennis Commetti as primary callers, with Anthony Hudson as backup David King, Garry Lyon special comments Richo on the boundary And MMM +1 for Doc Larkins, an actual doctor doing the injury stuff is the best updater around.

The Bad We have not won at Etihad under DB We have only beaten 2 Victorian teams under DB - the Tigers and the Bombers Still some players missing (Davey, Grimes, Bail probably viewed as the best of these) Third six-day break in a row But.... The Good We were robbed last year of a win by that stupid pink and black umpires crap We only lost by 4 points last year against what was a far more in-form Bulldogs side We have won our last two This is emerging as the big test of 2011. We win next Friday, we're serious finals contenders. We lose, it's not the be-all and end-all, no, but it is extremely disappointing, especially when you consider what poor form the Dogs have been in.

Howe has ended Bate's career at the MFC in my opinion.

Last 3 games I have been to it has been shut at least 10-15 before the start of the game. Not worth the time of day if you're not getting there early now in my opinion. That said, I'm not that far from a station. -
God we're pumping out the jets now, Nicho, Evans, Howe, the Max Factor..... We're not going to have enough room to play them all!

Try working 9 hours in a toy store the first day of school holidays. You need every minute you can get.
-
Well my issues are 1) I work until 5.30 then have work at 8.30am the next morning which means I'll be stuffed and 2) my mother's 50th is the next night. That said, now that we've actually won 2 on the trot we might actually get a crowd there. The problem is more than likely going to be the lack of Doggies supporters...

oh also in the good Pia Miller at a Dees game again? -
Yes, watched the scores tick over, commentary feed on my iPhone, checked out FanFooty and made a judgement based on 4-5 threads I've read so far. And look, if you think it's not a good idea, the votes get weighted so that 6-5-4-3-2-1 is awarded each round rather than each person allocating 6-5-4-3-2-1.

Out: Morton, Joel Mac In: Tapscott/Bartram, Blease I would have loved to say 'No change', poor Joel Mac
-
Based off what I've heard 6 - Watts 5 - Moloney 4 - Jones 3 - Trengove 2 - Frawley 1 - Jurrah
-
The Good Rallying after it looking like the floodgates were opening Jones Jamar to Moloney Watts Jurrah The Bad The first five minutes The opening concession of goals in each quarter The Ugly Being stuck at work instead of being able to go to the footy My face when I loaded the scores 5mins into the first quarter The Newman hospital kick

Demonwiki (Supermercardo's creation) has a pretty good listing. If you know the number, you can punch it in there and it has the list of players who've worn it.
-
It will be unfortunate if we miss finals by a whimper

Related side note: by 2013 we will have 5 Jacks (Fitz, Watts, Trengove, Viney, Grimes) and 2 Jordan's (Gysberts, McKenzie). Plus, assuming he's still there, a Jake. It's a very good point. That's why I reckon MFC's offer should seriously front-load his contract, thus we actually use the space from Scully's contract reducing to re-sign Trenners, Tappy, Watts et al. It's the only way I can see it not causing us suffering serious cap pain end of next year.
