Okay, I have been seeing bandied about people talking about the current squad being virtually our best 22 and such on here. So I'm curious as to what people think is the actual best 22 that Melbourne could field right now. My current Best 22 is... B: Bartram, Frawley, Garland HB: Grimes, Rivers, Tapscott C: Davey, Sylvia, Gysberts HF: Trengove, Green, Bail F: Wonna, Jurrah, Dunn R: Jamar, Moloney, Scully INT: McKenzie, Jones, Martin, Petterd The nearly men: Watts Maric Joel Mac The Master In before someone brings up Jack Watts - right now he is NOT one of the best 22, but needs the game time.

Don't know that we could afford to pay out Bomber's contract. I would take him every day of the week if he was simply uncontracted, but the reports of the size of his contract make me not want to.

Honestly, I don't mind the way we play. We can be absolutely scintillating to watch, and we seem to be able to break the zone far more effectively than a lot of other clubs simply because the players are drilled to go for the quick kick rather than the handball. The only two areas of our game that need to be seriously strengthened are the kick-ins at both end - the Hawthorn game showed us that. After that it's just practice, practice, practice. And the FD have said that it's a lesser priority.

Watts. Still a year behind everyone else in that draft due to first year at school. He's effectively a second-year player, like Trengove/Scully. Just managed to get a few extra games in.
