It's possible to get rid of the 7" display on the iPad by enabling zoom on the iPad in settings general accessibility and then three finger tap to bring up the menu and select full screen zoom and then use the slider to decide how much zoom you want remember to three finger tap to cancel the zoom later as your menus can become unusable with zoom on Not much help with casting to TV but easier to watch than 7"

Ron Barassi Tassie Johnson Robbie Flower Stan Alves Max Gawn David Schwarz Aaron Davey Liam Jurrah Jim Stynes Alan Johnson not necessarily the best except for RDB and Robbie but the best to watch

How about a bye after the Darwin game
-
He's been forced back there by Salems illness he'll be better back in the midfield and forward

I have no problems with Carlton getting 20 just not happy with us getting 1 in the first half and 5 for the game
-
The umpiring was one of our problems yesterday maybe the least maybe not the margin was only just over three goals
-
Gawn gets held in every ruck contest while the third man up goes for the hit out in a whole game yesterday I can't remember one free kick to him the tactic is fine but I can't believe they do it perfectly for a whole game
-
The thing that bugs me was that the two incidents referred to the Mrp and found guilty were not awarded free kicks to us and to rub salt in the Rioli one ended up with a soft free to him and a goal . Let's not even mention the fifty metres

I used to sit and marvel at Tassie Johnson's drops kicks and I've recently thought that instead of having the umpires interpret whether a behind is rushed or not make the full back have to kick a drop kick from any rushed behind it would resurrect a lost art and coaches would be more inclined to keep the ball in play. Long live the taut instep

Port followed by Hawthorn then whoever we play next

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 10

Isn't this year nice when we can go into any game with the thought that we should/could win where in the recent past we were just hoping against the odds -
A salute to an Australian Icon - Ronald Dale Barassi

Voss probably played like Barassi but the back story with Norm Smith bringing him up after his dad died and his own coaching record set him apart . Jack Viney has many of his traits willing the team over the line but a long way to go to be thought of in the same way. Barassi is a legend Mathews probably the closest to him -
Smith was more than Barassis coach he was his de facto father and therefore had every right to advise him as what he saw as the best course for him. Also look up the world of sport clip when he was sacked I'm Melbourne through and through The board are only part of the club and if they are dysfunctional ,as we well know, bad things happen

If anyone saw his point of the year moment there wouldn't be any argument big Yes from me

Would make a mess of the webs and zones these days just kick straight over the top of themWas my favourite player I could imagine him at CHB these days kicking a 70 metre drop kick to Hogan contested mark 50% success rate

Maybe we should wear the polka dots to signify the mountain we have to climb to get where we want to be

The one thing that posters on here don't complain of with Jack Watts is his kicking and ability to hit a target ,well most don't anyway. On the weekend his kicking and hitting targets were terrible this would lead me to believe that the flu scenario or some sort of injury was the cause. It looked like most of the team had trouble with running at speed and the fact that their pressure got them back in to it was brilliant to watch Maybe we caught it off Collingwood who looked flat and slow last week

Goodes gets relentlessly booed because he reacts to it. Show weakness in this game and you will be targeted . Wayne Carey was booed in every game I can remember because he was arrogant and was the best player of his time. It was water off a ducks back pun intended. When he came back for Adelaide the booing stopped because he was just an ordinary player even with all the other stuff that had come out about him. Goodes is one of the best players of the era but needed to just come out and say boo me if you like it's just makes me play better. All the other stuff is now just media fodder . Michael Long just laughed of all the boos and Nicky Winmar became a well liked player for his stance against racism.

It's pretty obvious that we lost a key mid early and we're going to run out of legs in the last quarter all in all we hung in pretty well for most of the game

DEMONLAND PLAYER OF THE YEAR - ROUND 1, 2015
deesrule replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
6 MacDonald 5 Garland 4 Garlett 3 Watts 2 Jones 1 Viney Apologies to Lumumba Hogan Dunn and Frawley for giving us Brayshaw -
I find it hard to read all the doom and gloom here. Roos obviously wasn't that interested in the win Essendon was being driven by a few individuals and Roos didn't bother putting our specialist tagger on the ground. Gawn had 9 hitouts 5 possies and 3 tackles in a quarter and was robbed of a mark at the death and then pinged for holding the ball yet everyone here is calling for his head. This is a practice match Vince and Howe and several others to come into the mix. Last time I saw us win at Etihad was Stuart Lowes last game
