Thanks LH. Thinking that having both Melksham and Hibberd will be good for us, seeing as they'll rotate along the HB and the wing, and perhaps through the middle. I'm skeptical about seeing Lumumba again so having those two will be adequate cover. Also frees up Hunt to move to a wing. I agree that the Geelong game shouldn't be focused on too much but 'a few 6 day breaks late in the season' is a strange response. I just hope that next season they're able to go in more switched on in the last round, even if we aren't a chance to make finals.

Forget sending a message based on emotion, letting him go to the draft is an atrocious result for the club, which will always be the priority.

This is the approach we need to take at this time of the year. If his father is seriously ill, factor it into the negotiations but really, if we leave it until next year and he wants out we will be absolutely shafted.

But really, is any of this information new? It's just the same old speculation, over and over. If he doesn't want to stay, we trade him this year to Fremantle for Fyfe. Simple as that. No draft picks will do it for Hogan IMO.

I very much hope we're into Barlow as he'd be a great get and has some good footy left, as well as a lot of finals experience. Can't see us landing both him and Thompson though, surely spots for more young talent are at a premium. And a big no to Wells. Too expensive and far too risky.

How do they decide which team the player goes to?

The sledging is something I do like to see us doing, but we need to walk the walk next year. It'll be embarrassing if we go backwards after those jabs at the Pies and Tigers.

They'll both be playing positions that will enable the entire team to look a hell of a lot better. Both will be very valuable additions and I can't wait to see them in the red and blue!

Aren't we only going to find out if the transition was successful when we can compare on field performance? That's where it matters. Enjoyed listening to Goodwin though. A similar speaker to Roos isn't a bad thing at all.
