  1. Jeez I thought he retired. How old is he these days?
  2. Nice choice Sorry I didn't mean it to sound as if I thought you were sarcastic... he is pretty underrated around the world but top 3 ICC allrounders every year. Also top 10 bowlers the last year too I think.
  3. Hm should have thought more about selecting a bowler, I'm going to end up with a pedestrian attack.
  4. No worries... Darren Bravo (WI). I seriously think he'd be a genuine star in a decent team, it's disappointing that we won't see him have the support of a better side.
  5. That's what I gathered but want to make sure because I'm quite keen on Shakib Al Hasan.
  6. What's the go with Bangladesh? Can we choose players or does it have to be strictly from the 8 sides selected?
  7. I had a similar phenomenon with the Hobbit - saw it and loved it and then read in the Age the next day a review where Chris Mathieson (?) gave it one and a half stars.
  8. That line up looks far too top heavy tbh. We do need at the very least one of the smaller blokes, my preference being Nicholson.
  9. Taylor is still a Test player until retired, I thought? Thought I had a gem at pick 31 there!
  10. Sounds like you have quite a good collection!
  11. From what I've seen of the trailers it looks visually fantastic and my girlfriend who was reading the book just recently said it was a great story. I think I'll try and see it in the next couple of weeks. Was it that 'Taking Woodstock' movie that soiled your opinion of Lee lol? Ps just out of interest have you done any kind of study in film or are you just an enthusiast?
  12. Often the violence, in particular the bloodiness, is so overdone that it is comical. It gets to this stage in Django and of course Kill Bill, and to an extent in Inglorious Basterds. Haven't seen True Romance so I'll have to check it out. Have you seen Death Proof? I haven't personally but I checked out a couple of trailers and it didn't look super impressive.
  13. I reckon his techniques are far too unique to be shop worn but it's tough to beat Reservoir Dogs and a couple of the other older ones. It wouldn't be a Tarantino flick without the stylised violence though RR. Also there was enough suggested violence, particularly the bloke getting torn apart by dogs and the 'Mandingo' fight.
  14. Christoph Waltz has already been nominated for an Acadamy Award for his role and I think he'll get very close to winning it again.
  15. Just saw Django Unchained and it surpassed all my wildest dreams... everything's awesome except for Quentin's Australian accent.
  16. Lawless is great, Guy Pierce really makes you hate him. Shia leaves a bit to be desired though, as per usual and Tom Hardy is yet to play a bad role. Have you seen Warrior?
  17. Something I saw recently that really impressed me was Donnie Brasco, Al and Johnny Depp make a surprisingly good combo.
  18. Not a fan of Apocolypse now to be honest but he was pretty good from what I saw.
  19. Definitely, it's Coolio who does the soundtrack on Colors yeah? Haven't seen it but sounds promising and I liked Goodfellas. In other news I ordered Easy Rider via Itunes the other day but for some reason it doesn't play so I feel like I've been swindled $14.99. Getting into Dennis Hopper recently so I've also been looking for Blue Velvet, heard it's worth a look as well.
  20. Penn is great in it, very evil. Ah yeah I forgot about that one, the trailers looked alright and RZA should be interesting. Speaking of Penn I watched Colors a few weeks ago which also stars Robert Duvall and Don Cheadle, and that's a really great movie.
  21. Well prepared. You aren't going to wait all that time to see it are you!? I recommend Gangster Squad too, saw that the other night. A bit over done but if you like intense action it's quite entertaining!
  22. Anyone else extremely excited for Django Unchained, Tarantino's latest creation? Comes out Thursday.
