  1. I'm not an expert in legalities : if they are stripped of points this year does that mean they lost games and if so would betting losses be refunded by TAB, Sportsbet etc. ? Hopefully their computer program's will allow for monies to be returned seamlessly
  2. Don't know how to do this stuff but I will try: (Slight bias toward the Guilty Party)
  3. Seems to me there is no profit in bickering about past mistakes ( unless they can guide us for the future) I don't know nothin about nothin but I hope PJ is identifying the best next-season coach and negotiating favourable terms with the AFL who surely want to reduce toward zero the total number of basket cases around the grounds
  4. Years ago when a friend, a restauranteur from a certain subcontinental country, was caught drink driving, he asked me who do I need to see about fixing this up and how much will it cost? I told him that is not the way things work in Australia These days I think that I might put an * beside that statement and add one or two provisos
  5. We can all relax It's all been arranged
  6. Could West Coast be persuaded to trade him back to us for our top draft pick? If we throw in some of the AFL's money as a sweetener?
  7. Oops Thought you meant Eddie Haven't been listening to the commentary
  8. Well he would wouldn't he? Bag anyone who left the team who lost today to GC I mean
  9. Doesn't it seem so EASY when the opposition kicks a goal
  10. All it deserved Very soft free to Bris
  11. Kicked exactly like my misses
  12. Sensational Whatever they pay him it's a bargain
  13. They were only being consistent with their advertised slogan this year : "I am doing whatever is available"
  14. This is a bit like the (well-known) saying : If you owe the bank $10,000 and can't pay : you have a problem If you owe the bank $100,000,000 and can't pay the bank has a problem If there is even a significant minority of a whole team involved, there are wide ramifications and no doubt Vlad's priority will be preservation of the status quo
  15. It's a bit like having your life replayed on Judgement Day, isn't it? Occasionally less than flattering
  16. It was a tongue-in-cheek comment directed more at typewriter-toting drainpipe-dwellers than at you or that particular item. Forgive me please
  17. Hawthorn FC site reports Lance Franklin's manager "very confident " he will re-sign with Hawthorn next year
  18. Because they were just experimenting to see what might happen?
  19. We've got to get over this mentality of believing something just because it's written in a newspaper.
  20. Who says you don't get a more edifying level of discussion on Demonland? And whoever was technical enough to point out that "socialism" applies to countries like the Scandinavian ones might have been a tad technical but they sure were right ! And the AFL would not truly be accused of socialism (naked capitalism perhaps ) but uses the equalisation option to keep the product marketable
  21. Isn't his ankle a worry
  22. This is good stuff but in the interests of accuracy I correct one error : "over the past" should read "over the next"
  23. And then demand the 4 points from the high moral ground - I agree! When are we supposed to play them?
  24. well my son-in-law is staying with me, in Australia on a medical placement from overseas, and when he'd read the Sunday Age lead article, he looked up AOD ( anti-obesity drug) 9604 on PubMed which hosts all research articles published. His take is that it is designed to act on (beta)adrenaline receptors and even increase their numbers in the body so that a given amount of adrenaline released may have more effect than if the drug were not used. This might explain the reason for its use in the sporting context There is more and if there is interest I will put it onsite
