It was really marvellous to see Ben Brown tonight.
Last season I thought we wouldn’t see him again.
The story from North was his knees were shot and he could only run in straight lines
he looked pretty mobile tonight and he is a lovely kick when he gets the ball

Bearing in mind that players who just played the best game of their life usually have a dud the next week should ANB be dropped for the Adelaide game ?
not entirely serious
pretty stoked with that performance

Has anyone on here read the findings. This line.
Brayshaw could’ve executed his kick in a different direction or in a different manner, landed in a different manner or in a slightly different location.

It would be interesting to know what they’re saying now
my opinion - Richmond couldn’t play any better than that (save for improved accuracy) but Melbourne definitely absolutely can

Cats......Talk about a flag hangover.
Love it.
Don’t we need lots of in-depth analysis of where they are going wrong ?
plus video of Scott’s facial gymnastics from during the games
He’s always good value

Thanks Andy. I am struggling with the decision on whether to get Kayo via the club membership this year. Could not go yesterday due to having a cataract removed but after studying the fixture there are quite a few games that will be tv events for me this season. May have take a subscription.
Do we need a separate discussion about what we collectively do about pay TV and what the best options are?
we dropped any Murdoch subscriptions last year on principle but we might need to swallow our consciences ?- 2

Wasn't huge on Grundy today. Thought most of his taps went to the opposition and his disposal was simply meh.
Still thrilled we got him, hopefully he works into some form before the start of the season.
I’m playing catchup
is he bang for buck do you think?

Suspended by the Suns poor bloke.
Thanks for that
The article says he’s signed a 2-year contract extension recently and is with the Suns to the end of 2025 atm

What is the single most important KPI the team needs to be ahead of the opposition?
For me it looks like against Sydney the contested footy metrics will be the deciding factor.

Are you saying that in respect of the GFC, notwithstanding they have redeeming features - nevertheless , overall, in consideration, in your mind, the negatives outweigh the positives ?

Happy memories
I believe that Hercule Poirot, that most famous detective in the whole world, would have detected in that sequence of events, a significant lack of exercise of the little grey cells, especially by that (Geelong) number 26 whose effort was piddling and pathetic although, perversely, and at the same time, entirely satisfactory and satisfying
and on second thoughts, he probably was exercising all the little grey cells he possesses

I hate Geelong withh a passion, but now I like playing them becaue it give us another chance of twhpping their @sses. The only thing better than beating them after the siren in Rd 23 would have been do it in front of packed house of their feral supporters. Bring on Thursday night!

If the AFL want umpires to be respected, make them full time professionals, pay them properly and stop the constant rules changes.
The fact is though, it is easier and cheaper just to control what commentators and media say about them, all spin and no action, what Gil does best.
Possibly one of the advantages of having a full-time umpiring academy would be the luxury of extra training time to familiarise umps with the tricks being used to milk free kicks.
currently the umpires seem to be a bit like legislators trying to catch up with cryptocurrency crooks: always one step behind the latest scam
The AFL might even introduce an education module called
“How umpiring can influence the results of games“
with a half day on crowd control (of umpires)
