  1. It's funny that we will believe DB when it suits us.
  2. we don't need drunken confirmations as we've had a Foundation "hero" confirm it for us.
  3. Might put $250 on "Any other" just in case. https://www.betstar.com.au/betting.asp?Sport=AFL+Futures&MatchComp=Comp&EventName=AFL+%2D+Next+Melbourne+Demons+Coach happy to pay $250 tp get Roos and if we don't get him I will gladly take the $2,375.
  4. Can anyone's bookkeeper confirm that Roosy is ours?
  5. That could change very quickly if Roos serves up a big bowl of disappointment early next week.
  6. I guess I must be in the camp with those who don't think this is a done deal at all. Someone will need to be busy in the kitchen because there could be quite a few big bowls of disappointment served up soon.
  7. Dean Terlich must be a shoe in for Best First Year Player.
  8. Due to 2 late withdrawals for the Eagles Cale Morton has been given the opportunity to be sub today. Good luck Cale.
  9. Did you have stroke whilst writing that thread title? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtCGb4fnHYw
  10. Primus not interested in Melbourne job Well guess what buddy ...
  11. What's wrong with Clarky? Looks fine to me. Angry but fine. In fact they all look angry. I hope they all take that aggression onto the field.
  12. 2 mins 3 goals Too soon?
  13. Since these precious players have to buy into the coach and his way of thinking and the direction he wants to go and since we saw the results of the last non-buy in, shouldn't the players have some say in appointing the next coach? I'm being a little facetious but it still irks me that it's possible that our players have had a hand in the down fall of two coaches. It stands to reason that they should pick the next to avoid an unlucky third man down. I guess what I am getting at is that regardless of who is selected as coach the players must buy in. Otherwise, those who don't buy in should be shown the door. Time to put up or shut up.
  14. This article perfectly summerises my thoughts on our players. No more excuses. It sickens me that the players may have been underperforming because the were dissatisfied with the coaches and the administration. How precious are these princesses? Time to put up or shut up. Now we will see if they can play or not. If not bring in a new coach and sack the lot of them *. * Obviously with the exception of a few stand outs.
  15. Should we headhunt or should we interview for a new coach? I found this article on AFL.com.au where Lethal suggests that the interview process is an "imperfect" way to choose a coach and that going down the headhunting route would be a better option for the MFC.
  16. I think the OP either misunderstood or misreported. From what I heard he offered himself up as a candidate for presidency.
  17. Doesn't he barrack for Hawthorn? Does the club president "have" to barrack for the club?
  18. I think you forgot to add ...... since the last board and the board before that and ..... you get the picture.
  19. Don and co. might have left the place in a bigger mess as they received it in and it might be time to hand the reigns on to someone else. Just as long as they don't hand back the keys to the inept board of cronies who put us in the position in the first place.
  20. https://www.tab.com.au/#!/vic/sports/betting/standard/AFL/AFL/Melbourne-v-Gold-Coast/Head-To-Head Who would have thunk it? It hasn't taken them long to overtake us. How long until GWS overtakes us? How long after that will we fold?
  21. Let me preface this by saying I think Mark Neeld is not a great coach and probably should be sacked by years end. Having said that it's not all his fault. We are an absolute train wreck. I don't think anyone could coach this rabble.
  22. Sorry to burst your happy bubble but our performances in the other quarters far outweigh the "good" footy that you purport that we have played. I apologise for my arithmetic errors. One hundred point drubbings tend to make me dyslexic.

  24. i love the optimism here, no doubt caught during the highly contagious last quarter but did you guys watch the other 3 quarters? And all other quarters this year baring some glimpses in the game against the Eagles. I also point you to exhibit A from round 1 last year. I dearly hope I am proven wrong but I find the optimism here after one quarter of decent football to be premature. Just my two cents. As i said I love the optimism but I have supported this club for too long and have had all the optimism sucked out of me.
