  1. Gotta love a bloke that talks about himself in the 3rd person. Moonshadow likes, pants.
  2. Get over it mate, no need for a tanty
  3. That's the rally from Mt Buller, stuie.
  4. Mass rally of MFC supporters? How bout we meet at the Melbourne Club for a stiff G 'n T beforehand. Never has such an angry gathering of leather elbow patches happened in town. We can hold up gentile signs which proclaim "down with that fellow whose spoiling it for us!" Might get as many as 10-12 attend, if lucky. Rally, shmally. That'll look ridiculous. If we lose to GWS, bring in the AFL to take control, I say. We no longer have the ability to do it ourselves. May god help us all (and that's coming from an atheist).
  5. No disrespect to Jack Watts or his grandfather, and everyone mourns differently, but I would have thought that this could have been a motivating force to win against Essendon rather than a contributing factor to a 25 goal loss. Do it for Jack and his grandfather, in a way. There is a strong record in the AFL of teams using this sort of trigger to rise above expectations. Recent examples (but not as a comparison to Jack's situation at all) include Sydney beating Geelong at Kardinia park shortly after Jared McVeigh's daughter's passing and the Bombers 'doing it' for Adam Ramanaskis after his cancer diagnosis and treatment. I'm not aiming this at you jrnmac, just that these things should help to motivate a team perform better.
  6. If your first ruck cannot get his hand on it and hit it to some sort of advantage, then a poor midfield will always look terrible. We've persisted with Jamar far too long. His best assets were his ability to jump and his body strength. Last night he was pushed around like a toy. C'mon Gawn, Spence or Fitzy. Time to rise.
  7. Following on from your username, I guess you're dead then. Thanks for your final post. See ya. Thanks again for your final post. All the best for following some other sport. Understand the frustration guys, we are all hurting, but if you can't continue following the Dees, off you go then.
  8. If the AFL do step in, it will be on their terms, and I reckon in the long term it will involve a relocation. For this year, it would involve ridding us of people like Schwab and perhaps Connelly and hand picking a new board.
  9. Errr, no. I don't think he was crying. Don't think that was obvious. He was clearly lost for words and felt very uncomfortable being in the presser. His twitch is involuntary. At one time it looked liked he winked at a journo, but that was also his nerve (as opposed to nervous) twitch thing.
  10. I think he should have been subbed. Actually, he should have been damned traded for a 4th round pick last year. Spencer, Gawn or Fitzy should be given game time above Jamar. One good season in 10. And because we can't get anything right, there's 2 more years of Jamar to put up with, his trade value now is zilch.
  11. I think he actually said Jack is ill, as in ill-fitting at AFL level.
  12. Simplistic, uninspiring pre game speech. Not unlike his post game presser. My god, things can go completely off the rails in 2 matches.
  13. He looks absolutely shot. Struggling to talk.
  14. Happy for mods to delete. Did not see Rangey's thread
  15. Hate to say it, but we seem incapable of doing this ourselves.
  16. Where the f are all those Jamar huggers who protested loudly during trade week when it was suggested his trade value at 29 yrs old was not greater than his ability? Well he's worth sfa now. And there's 2 more years of his rubbish left to payout. GET FIT SOON MAX GAWN!
  17. How can a big guy like Gillies constantly get pushed off the ball so easily? Participated in about 5 of the bombers goals.
  18. Kick out stats do not count for the kicker.
  19. Really bad skills errors by so many Dees. A lot of fumbling. A lot. Ess are a contrast against this. Clean and planned. Umpires try to impose themselves as usual.
  20. Bump. After watching Dylan Grimes comeback match last night (and being annoyed that we didn't pick him up as a late pick in his draft year), I'm wondering who is the next Grimes brother in line for an AFL chance? I know we do not pick players just because they are the brother of a current player, that was one of the justifications that some used for not snaffling Dylan up. A good decision? No.
  21. Why? Point being...?
  22. Not disagreeing in the least, but the theory is that going off just after a goal 'gives' them extra game time, as the amount of time between the ball going through the big sticks and the bounce of the ball in the middle after goal is around 90 secs (depending on TV ad breaks). So that's an extra 90 secs of rest where there is no ball in play.
  23. Unfortunately the vision of that new and enlarged avatar has been burnt into my brain since you put it up, BBO. I've not been able to keep food down all day.
  24. Ah yes. The good ol' days under Bailey. Was that the match where Port did us by 78 pts, 29 pts, 57 pts, 11pts, etc? Don't know what piece of cake you are eating, but I'd be wary of the mud pie cake that smells real bad. FFS.
  25. Tried not to Bing. Too much emotion, not enough common sense.
