  1. I smell a foul Range Rover poll coming on.............
  2. Bomber Thompson might disagree with you there. Short memory.
  3. Take a leaf out of Richmond's book? Pick Tambling above Buddy? Pick up Adaam Maric, Miller, etc from us? Why take a leaf, we've taken the whole goddam tree! We have a strong history of spuds.
  4. Is that kinda like his first double?
  5. There hasn't been a club like us since Fitzroy. Honestly, these guys have to make the most of their short careers. They're a long time retired. I do not begrudge those guys one bit if they chase success elsewhere. I'm not sure they have a lot to stay for, apart from money. Now, where did I put that razor blade?
  6. I'm getting a horrible gut feeling that we may again lose some much-invested, senior players at years end, trade or FA. Sylvia? Frawley? Jamar? Davey? Don't know why, I just think there is a certain stink of indifference amongst them that brings a little sick up to the back of my mouth. Some I won't miss, others may set us back considerably. God we lack the number of senior leaders that other team take for granted.
  7. And there are many great, inspiring teachers out there who came from the professions or trades but want more.
  8. He'll still handball them off from 3m out.
  9. If all he can do is get around half of the total taps and basically just tap to his feet, why the f is he playing? Can't mark, can't kick, cant hit to advantage, can't stop his opponent. 10 years of mediocrity + 1 good year. I'd rather see Spence give it his all and get beaten than watch Jamar capitulate. Max Gawn, come on down!
  10. She could also sing the club song before and after the game.
  11. Ben Polis? (joke...)
  12. Bwahahahahah! Short memory. We've said that our last 2 coaches. How'd that work out for you? Maybe you should chair the next selection committee, cause your always right, eh?!!!
  13. I resemble that!
  14. Lol! Then you're easily pleased if you think that it's that simple to turn things around.
  15. Ok, apologies Macca. Respect your views.
  16. At the time, of course not. Knowing what we do now about the state of the club, perhaps it was, demonstrative.
  17. Disagree hardnut. If you read my comments, you would know that I was not an apologist for Neeld and recognised he could have done things differently. But following your logic, we should keep all the players and everyone else, cause they're not to blame? LAMO! If we axe Neeld and Craig now, no one we want would go near us. Neeld and Craig have been with us for just over a season! It's been a terrible start to the season, but it is round 2. Who you gonna follow when we fold or relocate after Neeld and Craig are sacked?
  18. Did i say most Dee supporters were not expecting better, Macca? And with all due respect, if you are going to provide stats, at least do not claim them to represent all at 'land when not everyone contributed to them, otherwise those stats do lie. Nor are they a true sample of what wider footy fans thought of us. Besides, it is only normal for Dee supporters to expect improvement. I did. As I said, if we are to continue down the path of axing coaches well before their contracts are up, we will end up in a far greater mess than we are now. That was my point which you missed.
  19. Agreed, WYL. The worse the results, the sooner the push to get him out. We want quick results or someone to carry the can. Will it change much about our players or results? Not one cracker, IMO. With a record of getting rid of coaches well short of the end of their contract, who'd want to go near us? There is no denying he's not achieved anywhere near the success hoped, but we're cutting off our nose despite our face if we expect much success from where we were in just over 1 season and 2 preseasons ago. Sure, he's currently not a good media performer. Good god, who would be given our start? (As an aside, McLardy is a far worse media performer, Schwab made him look amateurish at the presser). Personally I don't care if he's a top bloke or a hard ass b breaker, but I'm very concerned that if we axe Neeld, we might as well close up shop, because we will be a bigger basket case than Fitzroy in their final years. I don't know the answers, WYL, but I fear we will have to keep sacking till there is no one left, at this rate.
  20. Neeld's team? Not fully, he's still got quite a number of NQRs left from pre 2012.Game plan? Yes, still being learnt. Assistants? Most, Royal the midfield dud is still there. And what a great midfield it is. Neeld's FD, yes, but Josh Mahoney was not his decision. I think that Neeld has about till round 10 or 11 to show some wins and improvement. I hope to hell he does, because I believe he is a good coach, on the whole. I'm not an apologist for Neeld, i'm sure he's made some decisions that could have been handled better. But it's not his fault we are a coach killing football club.
  21. Disagree. I believe Neeld got unlucky with us. He would've made a very good senior appointment at those clubs. Perhaps that says more about our culture and the way MFC is run, especially the board and senior managers, and then there was the playing list he inherited. Bitter pill to swallow for all of us. But to say that someone else would have got us better at round 2, 2013 as the clubs whose coaches you mention is delusional.
  22. Yeah, cause he's been with us since '64..... 50 yrs of no success, and he tanked, and he picked all those wasted 1st round picks over the last 6 yrs, and he gave us a $5mill debt that had to be repayed, and he picked that dud Viney, and traded for that loser Mitch Clark..... Who looks the muppet now, Kermit?
  23. I think he tried real hard to get midfielders from elsewhere that we're on the move or OOC, eg, Wellingham, BJ, etc, but they were not interested.
  24. George Costanza could bring the Penski file with him.
  25. Sol Trujillo?
