Noticed on the AFL site that Bontempelli has put on 7kg of muscle over the break and is moving very well at WB training. Is there anyone on our list who has put on considerable size over the last 8 wks and is looking better for it? Toump, Salem, TMac? Cheers.

Welcome back Bitty. How was the rehab?

Kid's got to do what's best for him and his family. Courageous and considerate decision. I find it hard to imagine life without my family and culture around, and I've been in the same suburb for most of my life. It must be very tough coming for central Australia, even if via Ballarat, different climate, different culture different pace. AFL is a tough, professional, demanding industry. It's more than just a sport, far more, and it's not for everyone. I respect Dom's decision. All the best young man.

And of course, there's three more draft/trade periods between now and 2017 where we can add to that list. This year's draft, 2015 and 2016. So those 9 mids will more than likely climb to 11 or 12. Quality of those players is debatable, however.

That may very well be part of the truth chookrat, but he certainly could have chosen his words with greater maturity and diplomacy so that most listeners didn't read it as a slap to his old club.

I don't think I blamed Sam for the club's instability. I find it absurd that a guy who has done little at his former club and is yet to get a game at his new club is looking for reasons why it's not his fault he's a flop. Sure we haven't been a stable club, but it's a cop out to use that as an excuse for not getting a tank over 5 years and running both ways.
