Carlton have three GSOS coming up. The first next year. I've heard are very good prospects. http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/stars-finally-align-for-stephen-silvagnis-return-to-carlton-20141121-11rb9w.html "Jack, Ben and Tom have all been part of the Blues' father-son academy, and Jack will be available to the club as a father-son at the end of next year."

Remember the rumour that Daisy Thomas was GA Snr's illegitimate child before the 2005 draft, that the Cats were going to nab him as F/S? Lol!

Put you off playing the male lead in your school production of The Graduate? -
Agreed. If Saints don't take McCartin at 1 we surely will. Too many positives to pass up.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - ANGUS BRAYSHAW

Without any stats to back this up, I'd say Mitchell is closer to 90 on both feet. I think that we'd be struggling to get anyone with more than 50 games over 75 (except Jack Watts). Brayshaw looks to have much potential, and the dual sidedness is a massive plus in his favour. I just hope the Saints pass on him at 1. -
Could've done with some rolling piano like a lot of old, silent films...

Great footage Dr Gonzo. Fantastic commentating too: "To the 36 players I takes my hat off!" Incredible how muddy it was compared to today's arenas. I played U16 suburban footy on muddy grounds like that. They all smelt of that sticky Merri Creek mud, which I'm guessing was the top soil to many footy grounds. Was horrible getting it in an eye.

From the photos on the club website, JKH looks to have put on quite a bit of muscle over the last couple of months. Edit. http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2014-11-21/photo-gallery-friday-november-21- 65 replies

You said that before he kills or injures someone else "he should go" and that he's a "waste of space". Your words. So yeah, you did effectively say that a young man who drove a stolen car at speed should not live. I did not defend or feel sorry for Gartlett at all, didn't even mention Jurrah, so it's you that are putting words into other's mouths. In fact I said Gartlett was a foolish young man who needs rehabilitation. How that happens I do not know. But I do not think he should die instead. I've had a very close friend die as a passenger to a drunk driver nearly 10 yrs ago. So your assumptions are wrong, again.
-
Not denying Gartlett is a foolish young man, nor that he might put his and other's lives at risk. And it's offensive to insinuate that I don't care about people who have been innocently affected by drivers under the influence. Gartlett's life is worth rehabilitating rather than just another life (or lives) lost on the roads or as a result of drugs. That's why we should care. And for the record I called your comment stupid, not you.
-
I get it. You'd rather every young person who steals a car and gets caught speeding dies. Nice.
-
Another h_h stupid comment. If he was your friend or relative you'd be taking a different line. Show some consideration for a guy whose life is at the crossroads instead of blurting your usual cheap shots.

Or last thing, if they do that stupid countdown. -
IIRC Mick Turner is renown for thinking his players are all going to be the next big thing.

The AFL really doesn't get it ... does it?
Moonshadow replied to DeeVoted's topic in Melbourne Demons
Article said: "Auld said it was worth questioning however why certain things happened the way they happened." Translation: "We want to know if we can make more money by tinkering with tradition and 'fixing' the few remaining things that aren't broke." Mr Auld, if you really want to improve the experience, how about pizzing off the loud music, screen and boundary LED advertising harassment, over zealous bouncers and fine dining prices for luke warm pies and watered down beer? -
Distinct lack of painted grass or LED fence advertising, trashy loud music that prevents conversation with those nearby and betting odds screaming at the crowd from the scoreboard. And yet the packed crowd was having a lot of fun. Bet you the food and beer didn't require a bank loan either. FMD the AFL sure know how to spoil things these days.

Found this on youtube. Given it's currently the off season, thought it might be worth a look. 1909 Grand Final. Carlton vs Sth Melb. Not Melbourne, but interesting nonetheless. Great shots of the crowd and the action. If you look carefully you might see old dee behind the goals. One for the Aussie Rules history buffs.

It was warm lettuce. You are all tip and no iceberg BBO. And you have more hide than an elephant.... More PK gems. And I liked him describing Laurie Oaks as a cane toad.

BBO is under fire from all angles. Great to see.

You are on fire red and Bluebeard!
