I agree with your first comments Saty, but I think it's just incorrect to say that the posters concerned with the timing of the day are not concerned with the match itself or won't go to Docklands. I am and I do. Discussing how to improve the club's interface with supporters after a intraclub match attended by only a couple of hundred is much better than those here who try and dismiss the discussion as whinging or askew priorities, especially when we hear of our rival cellar dwellers getting it right with a couple of 1000 fans in attendance. Our club would not exist without members. Appreciate you going to training so often and really like your reports, especially about what's actually happening on the field, but please give up the snide put downs.

Unless I've missed some stuff that the mods have deleted, I'd say the last few pages have been pretty tame Ron. It's been constructive disagreement IMO, and I'm sure most have listened to the mods warnings. By and large it's been relevant to the practice match and how practice matches can be used to generate supporter interest and club revenue. It was on topic until your post and subsequently now mine.

Had it been on a weekend I could've taken my young kid to sign up and get a few autographs. Might've even brought along some school friends and encouraged them to follow the dees. The kids love to watch a game, even if it is an intraclub. Sausage sizzle, drinks and merchandise... easy $150+ there for the club. At Casey on a Thursday at 3pm, no chance. Sure, it was about the coaches and players getting a match simulation going, but the club lost an opportunity to generate a little more income and much more supporter enthusiasm. We need to learn from this.

Only about 400-500,000 others at it too Earl. Great if you like sweating shoulder to shoulder with a massive bunch of strangers whilst moving at a snail's pace. I'm sure there will be a projection on BBOs torso that will amaze you.

Mostly an opportunity for the coaches to further drill the game plan into the players through match simm. But also great for us to see the new guys and new roles for current players, eg, Salem in backline. Buoys our enthusiasm for the season ahead.

Dawes work very hard, presents over and over, has a strong body and good leadership. But it would be good for him to be the supporting big forward. That will hopefully happen as Hogan develops.

Can you give us a bit more detail to give some substance to what you are saying demonling? You make a massive call that will get most demon fans salivating in anticipation. How serious is this 'crack'? Which Aussie rules club is he playing for? Jus asking for a bit more detail.......
