  1. What we learnt from the NAB challenge http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/what-we-learnt-from-the-nab-challenge-20150323-1m50e7.html
  2. Very good point Older. Its easy to forget that.
  3. This one does! http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liriodendron Er, sorry stinga81.....
  4. That's right, I remember Martin did some good things down back. IIRC he clucked some good marks to stop the flow of play. Rate him much higher than Fitzy. Still, I'm a Fitzy believer, I love to see an underdog prove the critics wrong. Is there a good 200cm key defender in the comp ATM? Someone's got to go up against the guys like Tippett, Daniher and (dare I say it) Clark.
  5. Apology accepted. Not everyone reads your posts though Saty. Hope Terlich doesn't diassapear. I like his attack on the ball and on the man with the ball. His decision making and disposal not so much.
  6. Thanks for the constructive put down. I was wondering the same thing Cranky Franky, so I'm glad we have been told 6 times now.
  7. Blame the coach for our situation, hey? Sooooooo, tell me again how many seasons Roos has been coaching us? Yeah, nah....
  8. Baffling what's sensored and what's not. Happy to let Brayshaw get some games at Casey. He'll get an opportunity at some point this year. Current best practice is Hawthorn who would probably not rush him into the ones before mid year at the earliest, or perhaps even next year. Of course they can afford to, but it's best practice nonetheless. Mid year sounds good to me.
  9. Let's keep thinking that, hey, and the loss to the Dons won't feel so bad, not to mention the second half fade out to a vastly undermanned WB. I don't give a flying [censored] about what other games are doing. I wanted desperately to beat Freo, Dogs and Essendon to get off to a great start to the season.... everything else and all other excuses are bs and our usual MFCSS responses. I'm angry and god damned hungry for wins! Give them to me before I bite the head off a kitten!!! Come on round 1...
  10. Agreed. And we probably had far more VFL standard players represented.
  11. Yeah, throw the book at them! What idiots they are. Any player stupid enough to bet on AFL matches should be kicked out of the competition! Um.... errr..... Maybe not all of them.... http://www.foxsports.com.au/breaking-news/goodwin-handed-heaviest-fine/story-e6frf33c-1111113080954
  12. Interesting idea in theory Wrecker45. I like some of the reasoning behind it. Not sure in reality it would work, a player's managers would simply reveal on the quiet that their client has re-signed (or not). IMO the pressure by the media on the said player's club to answer yes or no would be even greater than the old 'wait till season's end' line. RPFC's suggestions would make it more workable.
  13. I'm not bothering to get into that argument again, you can on your own if you wish chappy. Mine was from conversations on the day and subsequent emails from club membership which confirm the constructive criticisms were well based.
  14. A mate of mine does a bit of promo work for his family businesses Dee Dee. Said his whole family have completely switched over to the Dees and are now mad Melbourne supporters. His folks love the environment that Roos et al have created. Apparently a really good family. FWIW my friend also said Salem is pronounced 'Sall-em', with a quick sounding em.
  15. Good write up, hope we prove them wrong in a positive sense. Not sure I agree with the team line up, but that's always debatable. Thanks for sharing it hitman.
  16. Great job by the club and volunteers. A mate of mine was one of those who recieved a call and signed up. Excellent. Btw, consecutive days worked doesn't mean that the club cannot take constructive criticism on board.
  17. brilliant news. Great faith in the club and by the club.
  18. Bordering on off topic now.....
  19. Never a truer word has been spoken deb.
  20. Credibility? Says the man who got taken for a ride and a half on the weekend. Sucker!
  21. Given he's done the training sessions at the club, Roos would know just what he's worth ATM. I'd reckon anyone worth their salt would be telling the kid to show us what you've got. No way would anyone at the club tell him to put the brakes on. Those days are long gone thankfully.
  22. Ozzie would be in a world of trouble!
  23. I've been there Uncle Bitter, the beer's ok but the all the reds are vinegar.
  24. And your pecs need a size D cup for support....
