  1. Sums up at least half of this thread, unfortunately.
  2. Whilst it's a given he did not commit murder, you are definitely diminishing the seriousness of what Martin did by posting hyperbolic rubbish curry
  3. Got to say, I agree with the basis of what Stuie has posted here. Maybe not how he has said it. He might let his emotion and personal experience run wild at times, but he's bang on the mark here. Whilst obviously not being there for the incident, it appears that Martin must own total responsibility for what happened. Too many footballers have got off lightly for bad behaviour in the past. I'm somewhat happy that the police have taken it out of the hands of the AFL and RFC, they see it as too hot a potato and are more concerned with perception than effective action. As a human, I'm concerned with what happens to both the woman involved and what happens to Martin. Both deserve support. Think of the worst possible long term outrcome for both individuals and ask youself if that is acceptable. As a witness to domestic violence against women by men, I'd say the woman should be given as much help and support as possible. My experience is that women (and children) usually come off the poorer in these situations.
  4. It's pretty simple hannibal, not a revelation. Comparing theRoos/Longmire handover at Sydney with Roos/Goodwin handover at Melbourne is a long stretch IMO
  5. Matt Jones and Dean Terlich should be an ok trade for them. Done. See, list management isn't that hard.
  6. Comparing Sydney then with Melbourne now isn't exactly apples with apples Paul. Longmire coached to a flag not long after they had played in GFs and won a flag with Roos. That is being a realist, not a Negative Nancy.
  7. Had a few similar issues with quotes, eg, wrong quote appearing or a quote where none wanted. No biggie. Could be my iPad interface. Like that the hot topic botton is back. Are there plans for thread count on posts to reappear? That way when hitting the 'go to last post read' button we know how many posts are ahead in the thread. Appreciative of your work. Site gets better every day. Thanks.
  8. Alexander Ave across the Yarra is the best bet for parking. Reasonably priced on the side of the river. Near the corner of Anderson St. Short 5 min walk across Morrell Bridge(?) pedestrian bridge to Gosch's.
  9. Whilst obviously not in the know, I doubt Grimes would be on a big contract. Certainly not big coin, and not exactly "cashing in". Won't retire, but can see him at the Tigers as GTG suggested. Given we don't have a first rounder next year, what would be your suggestion of how to release these players and find others who will "take this club further"? It's easy to say get rid of them, but a lot harder to provide realistic alternatives.
  10. You must have a huge rrrse or rediculous incontinence if you require 5 toilets.
  11. Wonder if he likes a beer and a dart as much as his old man!
  12. Except I don't think Jade Rawlings ever played/worked under Clarko or Pagan. Glowing compliment though.
  13. Quite an unrealistic and embarrassing comparison given his position, I would have thought.
  14. Don't lie Toady. You know no one. Mainly because you reside in a place with 7 toilets
  15. Only one has in mine. I suddenly feel very young again. Thanks.
  16. Has Milkshake been training with the club yet? I haven't seen him at the sessions I've watched. Could it be to minimise the amount of playing weeks lost in the event of a ban?
  17. Are you making an arsse of yourself again Red?
  18. Ughh....Thanks for sharing (not)
  19. Only that they're far bigger than mine biff, which isn't unusual.
  20. A slight aside.... the old way I posted memes or gifts doesn't seem to work now. Can someone give me a simple way of doing this on a mobile device such as iPad? Thanks Promise I won't ask how to get to the last unopened post on a thread!
  21. Contacting the club would be your best option Tacky. Make sure you get a clear answer rather than a guess. The website has sometimes been wrong in the past with preseason training times
  22. 'Developed' and 'tossed' are words to not use lightly on this thread enyaw.
  23. Max King has a very neat kick on him and is tall. He is well behind on running or pace related drills, but tries very hard and is always encouraged enthusiastically by the group. There is now a great collective will and buy-in amongst our young players that encourages all within the group to succeed - culture growing. Looks like he has put on a bit of size over summer, but not much muscle or definition, as can be seen from the photos of the last couple of sessions. Gawn is miles ahead of him, obviously, but also 4-5 yrs older in experience. I think Max King is worth perservering with.
  24. Jayden Hunt was doing the sideways skip walking in for his set shots, hips pointing almost perpendicular to goals in an attempt to get more distance, would be my guess. Bugg has an interesting set shot action too. On the plus side, the kicking actions of White, Kent, Salem and Watts are very pleasing to the eye.
  25. Yes, I recall you being 'correct' post after post after post one grand final a couple of years ago. Not your finest moment Clint, well worth the sabbatical.
