It tends to be players with surname type first names. I first noticed it with Mitchell White of WC Eagles about 30 years ago. Continued with Fraser Gehrig et al. There is only player on the ground with the surname Dale. Why do the commentators always identify him as Bailey Dale? They don't do the same with other players.

It is beyond tragic ... RIP Ashlee and the 5 others who were murdered. Her 9 month old daughter was also attacked, but thankfully survived. But she will grow up without her mum. Good's nine-month-old baby was rushed to hospital on Saturday and is now "doing well" after hours of emergency surgery, her family said in a statement. It is beyond belief that this happened.
