  1. Hmmm. I know quite a lot of these people and I find it frustrating. I know I am generalising ( before I get yelled down !) but find this syndrome is particularly prevalent in the young voters ( who I find very black and white ) and the old ( who I find that historically they have always voted the same way). Both my mum and my partners mum would vote a particular way even if Attila the Hun was leading the party ( they would cite that he is a "changed man")
  2. I can't forgive you. It's not in my nature ( I haven't forgiven Scully. For god's sake I can't forgive Greg Wells for leaving to go to Carlton)
  3. nail.on.head. With an aggressive zone and pushing up hard, turn it over and you are dead in the water.
  4. It does break down but it is also the reason why we are scoring much more heavily this year as the half back flankers are pushing way up offensively. I want the best of both worlds - more attacking football as we are playing this year with more shut down defense - much harder to do when you have only 4 players left in the back half when the ball is turned over.
  5. Don't get me started on this issue. It absolutely maddens me. To anyone but anyone who objects to same sex marriage I again suggest this. If you sincerely have a problem with same sex marriage then protest in the strong way possible - don't marry someone of the same sex. Job done ! (in other words - butt out of something that does not impact you in way, shape or form)
  6. I respect everyone's political opinion with the same proviso as you have made - it is individual choice whether you vote for one of the 95% of options available and that is what democracy is all about and I respect that - but if anyone votes One Nation - I judge you and I judge you harshly. (I include Rise up Australia with One Nation as a blight on the political landscape). So whilst I am ranting - I have heard a few people ( not on Demonland thankfully) say about the likes of Hanson and Trump - "I like that they are not normal politicians and don't resort to political speak - I like that they speak their mind". This is 100% correct - they do not resort to political speak and they do speak their minds - the second part of the equation that these same people have not grasped is to take the next logical step. Listen exactly to what is on their minds - it is both repulsive and repugnant.
  7. not quite sure i would have been quite as forgiving ! there was a pile of bodies of Jon's army that you couldn't climb over and maybe Jon would have planned a little differently if he knew the Little Fingers army was just around the corner. A sorry and a kiss on the forehead wouldn't cut it for me.
  8. Arya too - she got to riverrun pretty damn quick
  9. I watched John Oliver's this week tonight ( I love his show) - it was done pre Brexit on Brexit - looking forward to his response this week as he was very much for remain.
  10. I guess it was because Fury Road wasn't music - it was random deafening noise ( a bit like Thy art is murder )
  11. I saw Fury Road - it was quite good. I went with my squeezes Son and two of the daughters boyfriends so it was "bro night". I came out of the theatre partially deaf ( and i know loud as i go to heap of live music). I didn't want to appear old so i said nothing. Then one by one they complained of ringing in their ears and how loud it was. It was THE loudest movie I have ever seen. (uncomfortably loud)
  12. not that there's anything wrong with that.........
  13. The only thing I would add is that the comment " as each day goes by that gets less likely in my opinion" ( each day that he hasn't signed it is less likely he will stay) is patent nonsense. He and the club has been unequivocal for months now that the talks are off until the end of the season - that's irrespective of what may or may not be going on in the background. So I absolutely get nervousness that may happen at year's end if there seems to be stalled talks but to suggest it gets less likely he will stay as every day passes is just rubbish. The timetable has been well and truly set - How about we put our ulcers on hold until years end ?
  14. Jesse Hogan spotted the day before
  15. jesse Hogan spotted yesterday
  16. sooooo.. 9 weeks later and 15 posts and the OP still rings true. We have a choice between a giant doushe ( spelling mistake intended) and a turd sandwich
  17. I am a union devotee. I am surprised that we actually ever did so well at the sport nationally when you consider where it sits in terms of participants and dollars spent on the sport. (apparently I am a rugby league devotee as well since the girlfriends son who lives with us gave us AFL and started supporting The Storm - we watch that as well.)
  18. I just don't get it. Got to a pub and talk your heart out but I cannot understand that if you pay to listen to music why aren't you listening. I find talking during any performance rude to the performer and rude to other patrons who are trying to listen. I have been known to politely ask people to keep quiet,
  19. Semi spot on. Whilst I will not downplay the media's part, this goes hand in hand with "people will vote against their best interest if a politician or political party tells you a scary story ( and of course the media reports it)". I had someone at a party come up to me and say she really liked Paul Hanson because she was just saying "what everyone was thinking". Lacking completely self control I asked her if Pauline Hanson was saying that "you are a complete moron". Harsh but fair.
  20. This makes me feel quite ill. Voting for Trump is not even restricted to the frightened. I have been reading of recent that a significant number of voters will vote Trump because they are so sick of "politicians". The suggestion is that he speaks his mind rather than political speak. ( he does speak his mind - how that doesn't frighten people amazes me). Whilst accurate, I think you are also being kind in suggesting some will vote for Trump "against their best interests". I am a live and let live person and if someone has different political leanings than myself then that's fine. I do however draw the line on Trump ( and Pauline Hanson). I judge the intelligence on anyone who can support Trump harshly. These people have no idea on best interests.
  21. What the hell would you know nutbean. He is gorn. G.O.R.N. (I'm playing both sides of the fence so I can claim that I knew)
  22. I would suggest that a lot of his support structure and what he/his family knows is in Perth. I lived in HKG and didn't know if i was coming back or where I would be living but I invested in Melbourne - it's what I knew. Still own the flat - no intention of living in it. It could mean a lot or it could mean nothing that Jesse has invested in Perth. Again, only he would know.
  23. Not only is it big noting - it is fantastic big noting - it is a gig I would love to have. How good would that be .. "So, what do you do for a living ?" - "I make long bows for GOT".
  24. Margaery unfortunately did the Klexit ( Kings Landing exit)
  25. it is going to be a looooooooonnnnggg 9 months.
