I like quirky movies.

I think he could be of immense value - whilst we understand that his hands were below par, to have a player like Dawes at Casey - commitment to the contest, blocking/shepharding etc would be great learning experiences.

I think for ball players, as a club, we now have enough grunt - we are looking for spread, speed and flair.

I think he also chose Melbourne as he had the brief to come in and completely revamp the club with PJ behind him making his "visions" happen. The perfect Neeld storm meant that Roos was almost given a blank canvas and told to "do with the club what you will". Bartlett was the perfect presidential foil - stay in the background. I think there are way too many ego's at Collingwood to allow this sort of exercise to happen.

or better still - work to a formula - a notional highest value development that can go on a block - then make the penalty hurt - if there is a $40M - $60M development going on the block then make the penalty 50% of the value of the development - that will make them think twice about pulling down a heritage listed building... For these guys to do this I again make the presumption that they must have thought about ripping it down before they even bought the property.
