Nice touch mentioning Hughes

No family should ever have to bury someone so young. My heart goes out to them and all who knew him.

Victorian State Election - November 2014

I thought this was a politics thread, not about the MFC.. -
So young Devastated for his family, my heart goes out to them and all his loved ones.

Not looking good. Still find it hard to believe it's happening - who would have thought you could leave to play cricket one day and not come home ? His poor family and friends must be beside themselves.

Victorian State Election - November 2014

I've always thought the Coalition would scrape home by a handful of seats but the odds last night had the Govt at about $5 and Labor at $1.18, and we all know the bookies rarely get it wrong. Dan would have to do something colossally wrong to lose from here you'd think. -
Mate who was at Levi's earlier this year said it's all interactive and you can order your food, drinks and merchandise to be delivered to your seat. Typical lazy Americans can't be arsed getting off their bums. He said that with travel time to and from downtown SF and the game, it was basically a 7-hour round trip for what was a 'home' game. Not surprised 49-er fans are dirty on the location.

Sensational, and freaky! They're calling it the greatest catch of all time.

Ho hum ? You must have missed last night's leader's debate on Sky News, which no doubt lit up the lives of the approximately 8 people who were watching. -

It's just dawned on me that I might have potentially possibly maybe almost for certain not quite have pressed the submit button in the preceding rounds. Sorry Ricky Jackson - my failure to vote properly cost you a tie with Alistair Nicholson. edit: no, I'm not responsible for the jackson defeat - he would have lost by 1 vote, not 2 -
The Los Angeles Times called it Australia's embarrassing "awkward pimply youth moment". Hard to disagree.

Unless you work in the FD or get to sit in the coach's box, I don't think you're going to see too much...
-
I just hope Todd Viney doesn't quit to go coach him

I automatically assumed we'd been found guilty of tanking again and had picks 2 & 3 taken off us as punishment.

I'm going to poke my eyes out with a fork if I have to listen to Mark Taylor again this summer. Do channel 9 still delay their coverage by a second or two to scuttle those who watch with the sound down while listening to the radio broadcast?

Farmer over Greeny was a tough call, but I reckon the Croswell v Johnson contest is the one to watch. Viney will romp home over Doggy. -
The "Mark Neeld overruled Todd Viney on Ollie Wines" truthers also deserve a mention.

Thread's been purged a second time. If you want to keep arguing the point (or fill up the thread with other nonsense), you're in for a holiday. Nasher's post was pretty clear, as is the thread title.

Jack was on the MFC twitter feed today answering questions from punters. Good to read that Roosy is helping him work on his outside spread and running patterns. Curiously, he thinks Howe is the club's best shot on goal.

I went up to RDB during that Melbourne v Bulldogs game where Scumdog Millionaire got a swag of possessions (think it was the pink socks fiasco match) and said: "Looks like we've finally got ourselves a decent player to wear the no.31 after all these years." Oh dear. Let's never speak of this again.

Where do we finish on the ladder next year?

You say that like it's a given.. The more likely scenario is that Toumpas will do his appendix again and one of Gawn or Salem will contract Ebola. -

I could have sworn Bennett kicked 23.1 in the WAFL reserves game. I have absolutely no idea where I read it though... -
Are you channeling Jack Dyer or is this just a case of predictive texticles ?

Best speaker in Australia - hands down. Paul Keating actually. Taxi driver says hello !

Love the fact that 7mate are running re-runs every day. Recently saw the library inspector episode - classic stuff.
