  1. We need a goal now. WC have the momentum and the umpires right now.
  2. Umpires have swung this game.
  3. That is a soft ----ing 50!!!!
  4. Big last period of the quarter here.
  5. Fantastic team running goal there.
  6. Tom McDonald has really improved his kicking for goal. Keep going Dees!
  7. Our defence seems really undersized. Pederson has been unsighted for me tonight.
  8. Great work from Oliver, fantastic finish from Melksham. Good to see Viney out there.
  9. Petrie just loves booting a bag against us, but seriously basically no body on the line?
  10. The Oliver jab seems pretty soft but Oliver isn't a soft player so I would imagine the chest punch slipped up and copped him on the chin. He wasn't happy that's for sure. First quarter we were smashed and were lucky to have the lead, but I think the second quarter was pretty even and we've earned the right to be in front. Hannan needed to kick that goal before half time. We can win this but I feel like we need to get cleaner with kicking.
  11. Very lucky to be in front, Eagles have missed some very gettable opportunities and completely wasted their inside 50s. We've taken our chances for the most part and the defence has held relatively strong under the barrage. We need to get some composure though, our usually good ball users were off that quarter (Salem excluded) and our usually bad ball users are continuing their trend. Reset and reload.
  12. First time for everything.
  13. TMac might need to be moved back.
  14. Nah definitely there, Nev took his eyes off the ball. The moment you do that and you're hold it's a free.
  15. How man you inside 50s against us? Good finish ANB.
  16. It was a disgraceful throw in.
  17. Fantastic result, Weids kicking 6 is absolutely brilliant! I think we need to persist with him at VFL level to maintain his confidence and because there's no need to rush people in. JKH will be back, that much is clear now. He had a poor showing earlier this year at AFL level, there is hope for him yet and with a bit of luck he will be making a few on here eat their words. No doubt we are stronger when we have Casey keeping everyone in the seniors on their toes. With us having a short turnaround next week it wouldn't surprise me if we make some changes to manage players to the multiple 6 day breaks. Well done Casey!
  18. Spread the goals. Petracca 4, Jeffy 3, Pederson 2, Hannan 2, Bugg 2, Harmes 1, Gawn 1, Oliver 1, Hunt 1, Viney 1
  19. I have actually taken the tactic a few times this year to tip against us (even when I really think we've got a big chance) with the idea that at least if I'm wrong we win! I will be very very happy to get this tip wrong!
  20. I'm actually not massively surprised by that stat. He's not the greatest disposal, there was an absolute shocker in the 3rd quarter vs the Dogs when we were trying to be cute, and I think he (like Hunt) does tend to blaze away a bit and do a kick and hope. That said, his dash is proving to be a great weapon for us breaking the lines. He backs himself which is fantastic, sometimes it gets him in a little trouble but most of the time the opposition actually forget how quick he is. Congrats Frosty!
  21. I admit I didn't have the courage to tip us this week, but I really do think we can win. Normally the outs of Watts, Hogan, and Jones would have the doomsday guys coming out in force saying 50+ point loss, it's a real credit to the coaching staff that we have developed some good coverage. That said I won't be overly shocked if we hit a wall this week. We've had short turnarounds (while they've had a nice cushy 9 day break), a tough contest vs the Pies, and the short break to the fast track of Etihad. Bottom line for me is I don't think we can have a slow start here, like all away games we need to hit the board early and get some confidence. Hitting the board early also takes the sting out of the local crowd. I genuinely agonised about who to tip in this game, only went with WC because of the travel and 6 day break.
  22. Best thing about Hunt is he looks like he can play many parts of the ground. Recently he's been getting a fair few inside 50s, which suggests he's being given a license to cover many parts of the ground. Looked quite comfortable forward as well vs Adelaide (I think?), showed some serious flair, he's got really strong hands for someone who looks fairly skinny.
