no-one deserved a spot, Jamar hardly played and when he did he was very average, Martin was better. The only players who could have got close would have been Moloney or Trengove.
I hope he stays but I don't think so. He will lose all respect from AFL supporters just like Ward has done. The thing I hope more than anything is that GWS fails which I'm pretty certain it will, then they can go to Tasmania which they should have done in the first place.
I hate that guy with a passion, he is the biggest hypocrite ever to walk the earth. He goes on about gambling and some other issues affecting the integrity of the game. At the same time he is throwing all the AFL's money ruining some clubs just so they can have a team in the slums of West Sydney.
If its playing finals what's making him go he's going to the wrong place, they seem to be getting just very young players so they will be getting thrashed in front of 3-4000 people each week, these young blokes taking the money and running are pathetic mercinaries.
yeah I agree, they will be absolute crap with very young players and a few rejects as 'experienced' players. After the initial 10,000-15,000 per game they will expect crowds of 2-3,000 a game and thrashings of 200 points. It is going to be the biggest disaster of all time and I reckon they will be moved to Tasmania within 5 years. I don't care if Scully goes as long as we get 2 first round draft picks for him.
great article and most in the game agree with him but I don't think it will stop young players leaving clubs for way over what their worth. The AFL has done this to the game and the current administration is going to be the downfall of the game. Demetriou and cronies will be remembered in the future as those who stuffed the game but by then they will be living in their 10 million dollar houses not giving a damn.
Tom Scully has probably played his last game for Demons as he has pulled out of Sunday's game, I expect him to confirm on Monday that he's going to GWS, adios amigo!!!!!!!!!!
the arrogance of that guy is amazing, 15 years ago they wanted to merge with us and then Dicker came along and saved them and Kennett seems to take the credit. He thinks he can slag off all other clubs now and basically he had nothing to do with where Hawthorn are now, good riddance.
if Grimes played more often then I would pick him but he's just not on the field enough. Green should keep it for one more year then Trengove or Grimes.
