  1. I watched the 3rd qtr and the Carlton biased umpiring was a disgrace.
And Larkey was stiff with that 50.
Umpire should've reversed it again when Weitering come in to make a hero out of himself starting a another squabble including multiple other players.
    But no.

Picket, I find it helpful to understand your posts if I read them using the voice of Donald Trump. All of a sudden it explains a lot!

    Try your Biden voice.

See how far that gets ya 😂

Channel 7 asking Pendlebury in the post match interview about a ‘love tap’ on Neale is everything wrong with the AFL.

Stop creating the narrative. They did it last year and it’s fundamentally wrong.

It makes me hate the game.

    Parasites they are.

In the early part of 2021 we were good in the wet.
We beat Richmond Anzac Eve and Swans a couple of weeks later in the wet.

We beat the Cats and Blues also in partially wet games.

And last year against Port one of our best quarters of the year was the 3rd where we piled on 7 goals and it was absolutely bucketing down.

That's some impressive Rain Man sheet.

Most folks on here were baffled when Tommo was dropped but now we lose 2 keys backs people aren’t thinking he comes in?

He should definitely come in imo

    Gotta be Tomlinson.
If not, why are we feeding him?
Still, I said the same thing about Grundy last year.

  6. Saw plenty of games from the members at Waverly.
Only lived 10-15 mins away and had a relo living across the road so would park there till the traffic died down.
Best ground away from the MCG.
Everywhere else felt like I was slumming it.

Also caught some nice redfin in the dam near the freeway.
    Good little spot.

  7. AFL deals up another howler straight up in 2024.
I knew they would but didn't think it'd be so early in the year.
Prepare for more as the season wears on.
Mind boggling MRO decisions and corrupt umpiring/goal reviews are the reasons the game's losing its integrity.

  8. Took a small tribe of kids out to Casey to see the boys train back then.
Jack Watts and Colin Sylvia were absolute rippers with them.
Will always be champs after that in my eyes.

And Watts goal against the Pies was one of the true spine tinglers.
Was great to see it again.

And I always felt for Watts.
Very few players had to start their football careers under the microscope like he did.

  9. The club treated Grundy deplorably.
Sang him a sugary song to get him here and then completely gave up on him halfway through the season.
Leaving him out of the finals was the final insult.
Played tonight like he'd had Gawns picture on the bathroom mirror all pre-season.

What concerns me the most is the message that sends to other players we try to entice to the club in future.
If things aren't quite clicking you could be frozen out real quick.
Does that come under the culture category?
    I dunno.
But it aint a good look.

Try to justify it anyway you like but the longer term outlook is dire. Gawn best is behind him and other than Fritsch (Pickett is undisciplined) our forward line is woeful. T Mac and Brown great servants but finished. A club that struck it lucky with a COVID asterisk flag. Feed constant BS to supporters we are on a steady decline with a diminishing list and a stuffed culture.

    Facts.

One minute people say we can't kick straight then the next minute it's our gameplan that stinks and doesn't get us enough opportunities in front of goal?

Choose an argument and stick with it otherwise it's just complaining for the sake of complaining. It's not just here either friends of oppo clubs are saying it too

    That's cause it's both.
The game plan stinks and the players can't kick for sheet.
Every-one can see it but Goodwin .... Or you so it seems.

  12. I don't blame Maynard.
Brayshaw is a victim of his own courage.
I remember when Hogan and Brayshaw hit the scene together.
All the hype was for Hogan but I was more excited about Brayshaw.
He was a fearless bull with a splash of class in the middle and would often stick his head where it probably shouldn't go.
I also remember he injured his neck (I believe) early on cause he tackled a guy head on head first.

From mid way through the third quarter, that really set the tone for our finals series to come.

We'd been good and building in the games prior, but I think beating the Cats the way we did on their home deck built belief that we belonged.

    Finishing on top was huge.
Proved to themselves they were the best team of the season.
I know I shed a tear when Gawn put it through.
First time they'd been even near it in my lifetime.

I shed another couple a few weeks later when Gawn slammed this one through.
The captain was on a rampage and the boys were takin' us to the Big Show.
    Happy Days.

  14. I hated watching the Swans under Roos.

Refused to watch the Aints and Dockers under Lyon.

And now I'm stuck watching us under Goodwin.

We play boring, predictable, uninspiring footy and that is no way to build a supporter base while you're in contention.

There is a bigger picture here folks.

Windsor's speed, balance and coordination makes you think we have something special here. He moves like Josh Kelly, Whitfield and Rozee. Hopefully he can get strong enough to play inside the centre square one day.

    He's got a good frame.
    He'll be in there.
