what did brad have to say
would also like to know

I wonder if it would be more like P9 & Blease,,, to GWS for Shiel & P22
or Howe & P40,,, to GWS for Shiel & P21
I dont think Blease has much currency and Shiel is worth more than pick 9 imo

Would not be surprised if we get lucky and one of Kelly, Aish, Freeman or Bontempelli are available at our pick, and if they are it will be a big result.
Boyd, Scharenberg, Aish, Billings, Kelly, Bontempelli, Lennon, Mcdonald, pick 9 Freeman
Pick 7 would get it done pick 9 just stretches that bit further

I would do Blease and pick 9 in a heart beat for Shiel, would also do Howe and 9 among other deals

Dopey's going to come in and ask a silly question. Apologies in advance. As well as upgrading Clisby (leaving three spots), could we use two picks in the ND and then one in the PSD? Or do the minimum of three picks have to come from the ND?
do we know we are upgrading clisby? he still has a year on the rookie list i thought?

Question - don't we have to use 3 picks in the draft? So giving up pick 9 for Adams means we are putting 40, 58 and 74 as our new kids?
yes, greta point

My reading on that would be that no one had GWS jumpers - so majority of fans would buy. Novelty factor on top of that.
In a couple of years their numbers may reveal all.
As an aside, I remember hearing a crazy stat about Franklin - something like Hawks jumpers with 23 sell more than any other player number by a street.
yep, i heard the same, like 10 fold on the second best

Sheed or lennon would be nice
but so would many many others, pick 9 will be a great pick imo
-
I like the sound of Lennon

Mahoney up soon on trade radio.
what did he say?

For the record, I'm neither here nor there with Pedersen. He's no better or worse than Dunn or Tapscott. I'd prefer he wasn't on our list, but there are quite a few of those and until we improve substantially, we will struggle to attract decent players to replace these guys.
I think he is currently a better if slightly different player to tapscott

Maybe we dont like aish or Sharenburg and will ikley get one of our top targets at 9 also ect Like Freeman?

Just out of curiosity if we were to land either Bernie Vince or David Myers with our 2nd live pick(20ish), who would be a greater acquisition to our club. I know Essendon have said said Myers is required players but I still feel he is gettable.
Personally I believe Myers because of his age and size but not much splitting the 2
Myers is younger and could be the better player, Vince is older ans is the better player.
Vince is what he is, Myers could be alot of things but isnt as much atm

trades
2 for Shiel
22 for Vince
36 for Lyons
54 for Michie
delisted FA . Cross
add #21 Zac Jones #70 Joel Tippett #78 Clisby (rookie upgrade)
I would sign that off right now, would be as good as we will get imo

Trengove, Toumpas
Don't respond to my posts anymore if you're just going to act like a moron.
Yes and? Aish has shown more than his counterparts, you said he is all potential he is less potential than other draft prospects in this years draft, he has played better than them at the U18, the champs and has exposed form against senior players. these are the facts.

Trolling. SA boy who recently signed a new deal. Lives/Lived with Rockliff who is also staying.
Didnt see his post count.....

Morton, Grimes, Maric, Watts, Blease, Strauss, Trengove, Gysberts, Cook, Toumpas - all players taken as they had class/skill and potential rather than ready to go and runs on the board with perhaps a perceived lower ceiling.
Haha yeah, whatever. It's more a case of we already have those kinds of players on our list, we need some grunt to complement them and start winning the ball/clearances.
Aish has the runs on the board, dominated his U18 age group and has graduated to playing SANFL reserves and acquitting himself equally well in that league.

I would have thought asking fro there second pick as well would be pretty rich, maybe if we threw something else back with pick 2 but not pick 2 for Redden and 26 that is well in our favour imo.
I like Redden, he does all the things we need, can take some marks, tackles and racks up 25 touches a game. Perfect age range also.

The only thing worse than getting Jolly would be not trading Jamar if we got Jolly.
However, personally I think Jamar is a likable guy and decent trainer. I'd keep him around if no one wanted to give us anything for him and make him pressure Spencer and Gawn into some reasonable football. And if we want to keep guys like Sylvia in the future the best way to do that is to stop trading away anyone over 30 so it sends a message you can complete a career at Melbourne.
I would prefer Jamar to Jolly tbh, there is a reason Collingwood got rid of him, he will struggle to play out the year, unless this is a nice backup/combo with Gawn taking a larger role?
-
Shiel for pick 2 any day of the week imo
-
I would imagine trading pick 2 down would be smart if we are going for Freeman as people think he is around the 8-15 range and firming however i think there would be a short list of teams who will take him top 5 and we could bank on him sliding if this is our plan and get something else out of the situation.

Roos mentioned on OTC that Dew applied for the position, but that the Swans won't allow him to be interviewed. Roos didn't make it clear as to who first approached who, but I got the impression that maybe Dew made the move.
Isn't that what I said?
