  1. Our draft picks at the moment are 12,32,49,66,83,100

and with about 21 core players ranked either Outstanding, Excellent or Very Good - Bruce, Green, Jamar, Moloney, Rivers, Davey, Sylvia, Frawley, Garland, Bartram, Petterd, Grimes, Scully, Trengove, Bennell, Gysberts, Jurrah, McKenzie, Morton, Watts, Wonaemirri, Bail

Blease and Tapscott haven't played AFL yet.

Everyone else on our list will be reviewed in the end of season FD reviews. My opinion is the club will be looking to strengthen their position again at the draft.

Our list has gotten younger from the start of the season where 41.2% of our list had played 4-5 years of footy or less, to now 69% of our list being at 4-5 years of footy or less with the McDonald, Miller and Bell retirements

So if we did trade Warnock, it would be for Carlton's first or second pick, or perhaps a backup ruckman

I think Jones unfrotunately will be traded to the GC for a pick. PJ will be delisted to move Spencer up onto Senior list- the club won't be delisting him and they'll be throwing him into the deep end, because that's the way to fast-track tall spuds- get AFL games into them. People might be suprised, but don't be when Fitzpatrick plays a few games next year. Gawn will hopefully touch wood play a full season at Casey.

    well said

  2. Seems to me that Jack is now well behind his mate Tom Scully in AFL development for the year. Is he stuggling with injuries or have we overrated his potential? I hope for the future that the former is the solution to his lacklustre completion to the year. By the way I agree with another Poster it is time to review Mat Bate to see any worthwhile trade available. Morton I am prepared to review on year end 2011

    Edit

great overhead marks, storng takles and hard runing, that was just from round 22 v the kangas. i had him on level pegging if not above scully for much of the season. both have been valued players and investments.

everyone will see a different thing in each player, but he is one of those bolkes that will serve us well in the future!

    a huge fan

  3. Winning culture. Winning games. Keeping the team together.

I hope the selection panel sticks with our crop of players for the remaining 2 weeks (minus Davey plus Moloney).

Besides... we can STILL make the 8 if Hawthorn gets smashed in the next 2 weeks by Freo and Collingwood; North lose next 2 games against West Coast in Subi and us; and we beat Port and North!!! :D

couldnt agree with you more and disagree with this thread less.

gotta play em. its been our goal all year! give them experiemce, especially travelling!

i know what your getting at, but resting the 'babies' is a no go for me. Let em play.

  4. In Soviet Russia, Ball kicks you.

haha classic. Mo doubt the big man has been a star amongst (future) stars this year.

Just thinking about it, and this is not taing anything away from Jamar and Jolly's hard work and natural ability, but Both are understudies of Jeff White (one of the best ruckmen of all time).

Anyone think Jeff has a hand in their claim to fame?

  5. Don't agree with that. Sewell played a blinder, Stratton was good down back, but on the whole I don't think they played that well at all. Better than us, yes, but not great.

o dont think hawks played all that well. if they play like that against freo and pies they will be smashed. i think theyl go out td 1 of september

  6. From what I understand the weights are almost exactly as heavy at AAMI as they were at Junction.

HAHAHA, my thoughts exactly. quite funny.

Perhaps they meant better machines and equipment. Or perhaps the old 5 kg weights now way a hefty 6.678 kg.

Their own pool meeting rooms, club rooms, computer labs, study rooms etc would surely help create a successful environment.

  7. So how did everyone feel waking up this morning?

The MFC and MFC supporters have rallied behind the red and blue. A team that is showing very promising and exciting prospects both on and off the field.

Last night roughly $1.1 Million was raised, which is a fantastic effort. Thanks to everyone who has donated over the last few years.

Keep your eye on the Re and the Blue!!!!!

  8. I sit near you too. Demonland re-union in the Tridents!

I sit in the MCC, but ill stand up and jump around at the five minute mark of the first quatre, see if you can see me. I expect all other demonland homes to do the same
